I am now level 11 and i know that my pet can learn abileties like growl or bite.
I am unclear on how to do this my pet has 18 trainer points but that doesent mean anything to me.

Press P > Right click beast training > That's where the skills you can teach your pet are located.
Read the FAQ at the top of the forum thread list. Do a search on that page for 'train' and you'll jump right to the proper section. Petopia also answers all.
