Respec at lvl 50 'cause of felguardFollow

I wonder, is it worth to respec at lvl 50 away from affliction to demo. to get the felguard? Heard a lot of nice things about the big guy, but i wonder if it's worth respecing? Will it make it so much easier to level?

It's fun to do it, but affliction is faster.

I would say demo with the felguard is about as good for leveling as affliction. It's much harder to pull aggro from him than big blue. I spent 70 levels as affliction though, so I would always pick it over demo.

I would wait until 56-57, ideally you have instant corruption and improved life tap first. I leveled completely as affliction, but felguard would have been an interesting build for outlands too.

At 50 though, he doesn't even have intercept yet (thats 52).

I had heard a lot of good things about him too, that he was excellent for outlands. I tried him from 58-61, then went back to Affliction.

After trying both, I have to say they are about equal in terms of damage, strength and survivability. The playstyle is completely different though. So it really depends on what you like more. I prefered Affliction, so I went back.

I would give a shot if I were you, but wait until at least 56 so he has Intercept, Cleave and you have enough points to get Imp. Corr, Imp Health Funnel and 1/3 or 2/3 Mana Feed. Without those talents, he will not live up to your expectations. The only way to know if you like it better is to try it out yourself.

mikelolol is right, wait til about 58 before trying felguard or you might be disappointed, as felguard won't have his best spells yet, and you're talents won't be in line (meaning 5/5 in imp corruption, 2/3 in mana feed, and 3/3 in demonic resilience) You can respec him right away, but he won't be as good as he could be.

Edit for typo

I did it at lvl 50, but I prefer to solo alot of the quests and never did to much with 5 mans till i was closer to lvl 70. If you dont plan on running instances and you want to level quickly I'd recomend it. Affliction is still quite powerful for soloing but the felguard will make it alot easer for taking on multple mobs. Just a precaution make sure to max mana feed, the felguard sucks through mana like there's no tommarow.

Felguard really does not come into his own until 52.

Having said that for some reason I can not get away from the demo spec I have tried other things and it just fits me.

The manna feed is good unless you use the same rotation I do when grinding, dot, dot, dot, lifetap, drain life. Works great on mobs around your level as they normally die about the same time the drain life stops and you end the fight full life and full manna, pet also nearly full manna, very efficient.
