The 2054380.6th rate my build post...Follow

What I wanted was a feral build, mainly with the focus of being able to DPS or tank well at the end-game level (from regular 5-mans to any 25-mans), while maintaining solo PvE, world PvP, and BG viability. The primary concern here is PvE, but since I'm on a PvP server (and may do some BG's to get some gear) the ability to PvP well is much desired as well. So this is the build I came up with. I know generally throwing most points into one tree doesn't make for good builds, but there's lots of feral talents I feel I'd benefit from. I think all I sacrifice in PvE that I would have wanted is the last 2 points in intensity (which means instead of 10 rage I get 4...at least it's more cost-effective per talent point), and in PvP I miss NF and NS (which I hope I won't miss NF too much since I got barskin). For solo I pretty much got everything I need.

I was wondering if there were any tweaks you would suggest (although I don't know if I would make them, as I've chosen every point for a reason) I would like to hear them, or if you just want to comment without critiquing I'm open to that as well.

On a side note, if we could get 10 extra talent points, this would be perfect for me.

That's very similar to the standard endgame Feral build... I don't see the point of this.

Build is fine, though.

I would take the 3 points out of primal tenacity and put them into natural shapeshifter. The ability to shift in and out of forms is more valuable then a chance to resist stun and fear in my oppinion. Then i would take the one point from intensity and but it in natures grasp. Wonderfull talent for pvp, for the cost of only 1 point. As you get better tanking gear and get close to the armor cap, loose the 3 points in thick hide and put them in intensity.

I tend to get jumped by a lot of classes that can open with a stun, I'd prefer the stun resistance there.

Disagreed, FWIW.

Since skrib's focus is mostly on PvE dps/tanking with the goal of "viability" in solo PvE, world PvP, and BG, but NOT arenas, I personally think fear/stun resistance trumps cheaper shifts.

Like many feral druids (I think) I tank 80% of the time I run instances, (15% dps and 5% healz) and I find it very helpful and valuable for me to be the one that most frequently resists group fears in an instance, and being stunned when you're tanking cuts off outbound-generated rage and your ability to go pull a bad guy off your precious healer.

All that said, maybe I'm spoiled with my Staff of Natural Fury. : ) I have macro's set up to quickly equip it so even when I shift from bear back to bear I save that mana.

And all THAT said, I'd move the Intensity point somewhere...never been an Intensity guy myself. Especially now that you can instantaneously powershift from bear-back-to-bear and get the 10 rage from Furor, Intensity seems kinda myeh. I'd say for the PvP side of skrib's action either Natural Shapeshifter or Intensity would be nice, but 1 point won't make much difference in either place. Personally I sacrificed the last 2 points of Predatory Instincts to give myself the heal-myself-even-when-I'm-getting-wailed-on benefit of 3/5 in Nature's Focus.

Thanks for the input JeeBar. I think what I'll do is keep the point in intensity, because even with power-shifting I can still get even MORE rage from enrage. Although if I take it out it would go into NS. As far as predatory instincts goes...I think I'll keep it since more often than not I'll be in 1 form for the majority of the fight, and with a feral crit chance I'd like my crits to do extra damage.

The point in intensity I really only put because I had 1 point left to put, and since intensity gives an extra rage for the first talent point (4, 3, 3 if you go by point) I figured that would be a point better spent than 3/3.

Well, as you can see from the comments already. You didn't miss any must haves, and you didn't put points into any "crap" talents. It's all about who prefers what and what situations you find yourself in most often.
