DW and dagger in OffhandFollow

Hi all

I have just got a fairly nice dagger so decided to use this in my OH.

Previously I used 2 different swords, so quickly trained daggers upto same level as swords (both around 300 now)

Now I am level 60 but my question is, is using a dagger as good as using another sword in my OH?

Reason I ask is because it seems to be missing more and the damage dosent appear to be very good atall. This is pure PvE

Any help would be great and sorry if im missing something here :)

This is the biggest problem ... using a dagger pre-patch 2.3 (or was it 2.2 .. I forget) was never a problem. But since they introduced the fact that Whirlwind now also strikes with the off hand, daggers are a no-no - You'll simply do less damage that if you had a sword (or axe, mace, etc) with the exact same stats, speed and DPS. Leave the daggers for rogues now.

ofc, if the dagger is supremely better than any other weapon you can find, sure, use it, but you must aim for something else.

I was lucky enough to get another sword yesterday (stated about same dps as the dagger did) so im using that now.

Maybe its in my head but I seem to be doing better now :) Actually I think it is def better as my DPS monitor while I was playing for 2 hours seems to average atleast 40 more than it did with sword and dagger.

Re skill level Swords are 300 and daggers are 299
