I've been seeing a lot of premades lately to go and lose the BGs. Worth it?

Back on topic. Here's the WWS from our first shade of akama kill. Leylette was combat Daggers, and undergeared. Elaii is combat swords, and outgeared me slightly at the time. I would have had much higher DPS, but I timed my cooldowns poorly, as it was our first go at it, and I thought I'd have them back up by the time Shade popped out.

Fight Duration: 41 Seconds

People who post Akama WWS as if it means anything other than "hey, I got one less dodge than that guy did" are confused.

EDIT;

I had a 0.6% chance to be dodged, I doubt that played a large factor. I could post half a dozen more logs where I outdamage the other rogues by 150-200 DPS on normal fights, but this one illustrates the point well enough.

*shrug*

The point was, over that short of a fight the most important factor is the RNG... not anything you do yourself. You can get lucky and destroy who normally beats you, or you could get unlucky and get beaten by that idiot who managed to pull a 60% critrate.

For that matter... you had a ~39% crit rate on all attacks. The Rogue directly below you had 26% on melee and 16% on Sinister. The Hunter had ~22% average crit. You think that didn't play into anything? Unless you're gearing massively differently than these other people, you hit a good RNG streak and won.

Post an actual fight WWS, and you'd have something to talk about. Akama isn't it.

I couldn't help but notice you brought Yimine and Jerdatty to a raid, Sorry to hear that. I have grouped with both of them and have been let down hard by their lack of common sense.

Nocturnal, PVP for your weapons.

The S1 offhand only costs 9k honor. I could do that in a couple days if I put my mind to it. (I would say do it in 1 day, but not with the AV fiasco)

As I have only done BGs probably only a few times at all (only have probably about 350 honor lol), about how much honor is usually yielded per game?

Took me about 4 days at 65 to get my OH Dagger.

I've been giving Jerdatty some advice on how to improve his play. He's young (high school age), so his understanding of rogue mechanics isn't exactly ideal.

Yimine is an alt. Her main is a warrior, and she's actually a fairly decent tank.

My raid buffed crit is around 40%, so that's about right. I think he's got about 8% less crit than me, but I'm not sure. I have no clue about the hunter.

http://wowwebstats.com/qc6sz13dsvqpe?s=15603-16068 - 139 DPS lead over Elaii
http://wowwebstats.com/qc6sz13dsvqpe?s=5431-6281 - 128 DPS lead over Elaii (yes, this was a kill, but the guy who records WWS accidentally released)
http://wowwebstats.com/u5zxae56zhu1c?s=3474-3849 - 88 DPS lead over Elaii
http://wowwebstats.com/u5zxae56zhu1c?s=12902-13506 - 244 DPS lead over Elaii

The reason I chose the Akama fight is because that was one of the few fights that I knew we had all 3 Rogues in on without digging through all the old logs. If you looked, you'd also see that he used AR, while I didn't (like I said, poor timing of cooldowns). You can also see that he got more CP procs, more Rrelentless Strikes procs, two DST procs and a Tsunami Talisman proc too.

In WWS report order;

Well, he beat you on Naj'entus, so I'm not sure what your point is. He pulled 890 DPS and you got 861 DPS. The "DPS" lists on Naj'entus are often just wrong, go by damage done divided by fight length.

In this case, it looks like it counted him as still being in combat since he didn't turn off autoattack when Naj'entus had Tidal Shield up, which means that even though he beat you in damage he had less "DPS" since it was counting additional time. He still beat you.

He died on the second report, so... okay?

On the third report, you did 4% more damage than he did... presumably in FR gear, because I hope there's no way for you to lose to casters on Azgalor without being silenced in normal gear. It's not the fight I'd use for damage comparison for the same reason you wouldn't pick Shahraz.

On the fourth report, it's... Supremus. The fight is pretty awful for melee DPS.

So... do you not have a decent WWS? Okay then.

EDIT: You may indeed be the better Rogue, but the WWS's you're quoting to prove it aren't helping your case very much.

That assumes you are on the target 100% of the time. If you run off to get a spine, it borks your DPS. if you get hit by a spine, it borks your DPS. If you have to stop to bandage, it borks your DPS. Also, I never turn auto-attack off when he shields, because it's currently bugged and you can still build CPs. His higher presence is most likely due to him pulling out fewer spines. We both bandaged twice.

9 Minutes into the fight, before he had a chance to have his DPS ****** up by shock barrier, spamming kick, running from phoenixes and getting mind controlled.

Yes, we were both in FR gear, in about the same amount.

And the last time I checked, we were both melee DPS, so a comparison is fair. It's not like he had to wait longer than me to get back on in Phase 1.

If you really want I'll go dig through the WWS reports and find other raids we were in together, but they're going to be pretty old and likely from SSC. The guild took about a 3 week break over the holidays, and my computer was ****** up so I couldn't raid for a while before and after. He didn't join long before the holidays, and frequently got benched because we used to have 7 main rogues.

And? The idea is to figure out how much damage you do.

Using WWS, if you dump all your Energy and then turn autoattack off until it's all back, you get a higher DPS. It doesn't mean you're doing more damage. It means you're putting more stock in a questionable number.

Going to grab spikes would be functionally the same thing, incidentally.

Yeah, on Kael'thas you don't do any more DPS later in the fight with those 122 DPS Legendary Weapons and +25% Physical Damage Debuff or anything.

I honestly don't care. You may be so much better than him that he's barely competent to hold your cloak. You haven't done absolutely anything to demonstrate that you're better than he is in any of your posts, though.

"Durr, I'm a better player than he is and here's the trash DPS from teh one pull aftr opera in Kara to prove it!" would have been about as valid.
