Since we've been getting a lot of questions lately about PvE, raiding, rotations and such, here's an example for you newish raiders. Here's the WWStats from our guild's Gruul fight tonight. Just the Gruul fight, no trash, no HKM. 1s/5r cycles (depending on time until next Ground Slam), WF MH, Deadly OH.
Take note of my position on the meters, and the position of Rosdale, our guild's "rogue officer." Here's her armory profile. You can find my armory profile in my sig. You can click on our names to see a breakdown of where the damage came from.
This just goes to show you, skill > gear.

Yes, you have nearly double her hit rating, as noted above. This proves that you know + hit is important and your class leader doesn't. Oh, and why are you kicking Gruul?

I'm getting there, I'm getting there. I've been taking all of your guys advice from my OP and have been running a buttload of instances whenever I can. Still haven't gotten anything worthwhile.
But looking at her stats and your stats and seeing where I need to be, at leat my hit rating is a bit higher than hers. Just need to get better weapons and gear then I'll be one awesome-raiding machine... I mean... what? =P

Agh...Nocturnal...your 2.10 OH sword is still just killing me. Need faster....much faster...
On a somewhat related note, I spent about 10 mins making fun of a rogue on my server for wanting the Failsteel LOLblade made for him so he could use it as his OH wep. I also ridiculed his build, lack of hit, and lineage; something to do with hamsters and elderberrys I believe.

Yeah yeah I know =P. I've only been able to run one instance in the time I'm on (for the most part). And so far I haven't had any luck. Got a nice ring in Labs the other day for when I get to 70.
I haven't gotten the chance to run Black Morass yet. May do that tonight and see if I can get Latro's Shifting Sword... As for getting to exalted with Aldor for the Vindicator's Brand (maybe a different sword if there's one that's better), that'll take some time as I'm only friendly at the moment.

The S1 offhand only costs 9k honor. I could do that in a couple days if I put my mind to it. (I would say do it in 1 day, but not with the AV fiasco)

As I have only done BGs probably only a few times at all (only have probably about 350 honor lol), about how much honor is usually yielded per game?
Skill + Gear > Average + Gear > Skill + No Gear > Bad + Gear > Bad + No Gear

I have been grinding AV for honor lately and I have been getting around 300-500 bonus honor per round plus all of my kills.
Also make sure you do the daily BG quests (419?? honor)

The BG daily itself gives 419 bonus honor as a reward.
You can get anywhere from 100-600 honor from an AV.
And anywhere from 50-200 honor from a WSG, AB, or EotS.

I've gotten upwards of 300 honor in EotS. In my battlegroup, with the alliance AV boycott, AV queues are generally over an hour, so it's just not worth it to queue.

Why the boycott? In the StormStrike battle group we win about 60% of the games I participate in. I haven't heard any complaints about AV in a while.

Disagree, was beating 1900-1950 mirror setups last season who far outgeared us. My RL friend was a gladiator warrior on his main (horde) but he had a 60 alliance priest (old raiding main). He leveled him to 70 to do some arena with me, and he was terribly geared (blues, 60 resil). I had something like 170 resil, and we finished damn close but not quite at duelist.
We beat plenty of average + geared teams (mirror setups). You could argue no skill, but it takes an average amount to play warlock/priest to 1900, the bad + gear are stuck at 1500. We just outplayed the crap out of them.

I think average ones are still stuck around 1500-1600. Good warrior/druid with average 200ish resil gear will beat average warrior/druid teams with good gear and 450ish resil.
Plus the setups so damn common now that average ones won't get very far. Top team on my BG is actually hunter/druid, then rogue/druid, then warrior/druid. Its mostly druids in the top 10, but theres a handful of priests and even a pally too (healing). For DPS warriors aren't so high anymore, theres maybe 3 of the top 10. Warlocks would be another 2-3, then 2-3 rogues and 1-2 hunters.
