Warlocks are tough one on one. I've not yet found the method, if any. I've had best success burning down their health a little with pets that can stun, like a boar's charge followed by an intimidate.

Really it's depends a lot on your style of play, but in my experience and well because my boyfriend plays a warlock, so I hear a lot of his complaints too,is that BM hunters do good against warlocks.

some really useful abilitys such as bestial wrath (gotta love the big red kitty),which will be very useful since when you use that ability they can not be feared by a warlock.

So they have to deal with you and your pet untill the ability wears off, you also get feign death which comes in handy . you can FD pop up and start unloading shots on them.

I don't know what else to tell you except that experience and knowing your abilitys is the key,the more BGs you do the better you will get, just try different things out.

I just do what I do and it works I have a hard time trying to explain to people how to play my class,I like sitting friends down and say just watch what I do and how I play and i'll explain to you as much as I can as to why I did so.

Not that the class is that hard to play, it's just that I figure stuff out for myself and i'm not that great and wording everything to other people.

I went mostly down the BM tree and a little in SV and two points in MM for hawk eye,so I don't know how full SV or MM do against warlocks.

sorry If I didn't help you as much as you wanted, but their are some people here that can tell you all you need to know and more about hunters, just a bit of a warning though, please read the stickies at the top of the forums they come in handy to new players and gives you a lot of good info.

If you still can't find out what you need to know then by all means post it and someone will help you out.

EDIT: spelling/grammer fixes

Plain and simple, spec Beast Mastery... Hit Beastial Wrath (I Win Button!)... Proceed to unload on the squishy little *******.

I love hearing everyone complain about how OP warlocks are PVP. Especially since I was one of them when I was MM. Now I am BM and they don't have a chance. The 'I win' button, well, wins.

Clothies, unless they are geared ridiculously better then you, should never be able to withstand 18 seconds of pure trinket, beastial wrath, and cooldown fury. Make sure you are not trying to steady shot with a demon on you pushing back your cast time and if he comes close wingclip and get back to range (which is 5 yards now, thanks Blizz). Unless the Warlock is completely uber they will die and you must IMMEDIATELY upon leaving combat sit down and eat or you will die from curses. If I know I am going into combat versus a warlock I always have my trinket ready as well, this way I can just fire away until his first fear (usually Death Coil, but a good 3 seconds is all they need to start their fear spam so I trinket out of Death Coil) and then trinket out, beastial wrath and it's gg for him. If he can start spamming fear you are toast, you have to trinket out as fast as possible.

The only exceptions to this are very well played affliction? or soullink? warlocks who don't use fear anyways. I am not sure if that is the specific talent spec for the hardest locks but 'locks who rely on fear die for it versus BM hunters.

Locks have a huge amount of health..I have seen a Lock with 18000 hp..tough..
The fear, dot tactic is still ovepowered and there is nothing you can do about that (especially if you are MM/SV specc)..BM have a chance to win if they can take them down in 18 sec..
Only 2 tips...
1)resilience is very important with locks..
2)dont use your feign abilitie for nothing.(such as to avoid their demon for 2 sec)..use it in the end of fight when they will start to drain life...

When I say blow your trinkets I mean any trinket that gives you added attack power for a certain amount of time. If I remember correctly one of the better trinkets for early BC'ers is the Bladefist's Breath.

Yea, anytime you see anyone over 15k HP chances are they are uber.

Good Hunter vs Good Warlock.... depends on spec, if you're not BM Hunter you are probably going to lose, fear spamming and DoT you to death is a warlocks way to beat anything one on one and if you're not immune to fear you're gonna get caught in it.

Beast Within is the only anti-CC a hunter gets, so the best way to beat a warlock.... send pet in, pop Beast Within, hit intimidate and aimed shot him, arcane, multi, steady.... basically dump as much mana into your shots in the 3 seconds he's out from intimidate and hope you get a crit or two... after that it's just keeping the damage higher than his drain life spell, or using Viper Sting to drain his mana and make it so that he has none and maybe he's stupid enough to life tap to get more while you keep Viper Sting up and he kills himself making your life easier.

Thats one on one, in any BG or Arena, warlocks are always the first to go down (focus fired) when I see them, otherwise their DoT's coupled with Direct Damage can take everyone down to half and one person out completely if hes's not taken care of quickly, granted healers can fix this fast but the fact that they can cause a healer to use 1/3 or more of their mana just from spending 2-5 seconds casting makes them very deadly in PvP.

Just for the record though, in my experience good Warlocks are almost as hard to find as good (I mean really good) Hunters, so some fights are going to be hard as hell other times you won't even break a sweat.
