I did read up on the FAQ and scanned through most of the talent specs in there. However, though I now know what talents to avoid in general and what are good talents for level 70 PVE / PVP, I wonder if a 29 PVP spec would be different than just "how far can you get with the limited points into the tree for the 70 spec".
In short my question is: If for instance my choice would be affliction, do I spec all points into affliction tree to get to nightfall? Or (as is possible) do I grab nightfall but drop the 3 leftover points in demonic tree to get the 9% (3/5) sta increase.
Or do the specifics of the 29 BG's require a completely other approach as a mixed up affliction / demonic spreading the points thin amongtst the first levels of these talent tree.
Any suggestions and creative thinking for some talent builts focussed at WSG / AB for a level 29 would be appreciated.

tis build http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=IE0bbobZ0h is the one with 3 points in demo as you suggested, and i think it looks better than this http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=IE0bfob which is full affliction to 29. i have never really pvped in that bracket, but the increased stam looks well worth sacrificing the fel concentration, since i think you would be usign SB more often than drains.

SB is pretty much a no no in PvP. It's cast time is too long. Occasionally I'll find a chance to use it, but it's mostly DoT groups up and Searing Pain spam or Drain Life if your getting hit. Fel Concentration is pretty much required to stand a chance against melees that get on you.
told ya i dont pvp much on my lock. if that is the case then def. go with the fel concentration in your build, so full affliction.
I myself am building a 29 lock twink, and looking at videos, along with talking to another fully twinked lock on my server (thunderlord) You do spec 20/0/0. Also if you are twinking at 29 you need to have a TON of +shadow. I myself will at 29 have 1.2k health 1.7k mana and 240+shadow. This is so that your shadow bolts hit for 400-600 and crit near to 1k(with zerker). Also you want to use corruption and curse of agony. I also am trying to twink out a 29 lock but am having trouble finding enchanters that have the shadow power enchant for the hand. Do you know if that is still available or is that a pre BC drop. I bought all the mats (nexus crystal, large shard etc) but I have been holding those for months. I'm afraid to buy other mats for enchants due to this experience. I have ok gear but almost no enchants. BTW I play on Rexxar, my toons name is Duude. Thanks in advance!
Duude to respond to yours, there are a few enchants you should be looking for, the first is the DM enchant +8spell damage to head (hard to get need BoE goggles and a main), the second is +30 spell damage to staff(the +21 shadow damage one), thrid would be your +20shadow damage to gloves and yes it still works, forth is the runic spell thread to legs, and then after that its health, penetration and all those other goodies. Right now with 1.2k health and 1.7k mana I should have 240 +shadow damage = ). Talk to me on my server if you wanna see more gear

Thanks for your response Velkyri! I finally found someone that had the +20 shadow dmg enchant. I have a question regarding the pants. I've seen set of pants that had +35 spell dmg and + 20 Stamina. I think that's from a tailor but I'm not sure what's it called to research the mats required. Any suggestions?

Go full affliction, do not stop running (i.e. no shadowbolting) and put your DoTs on anyone you encounter while strafing, backing up, running around. The occasional fear when one of your teammates is attacked (or you). I always kept the Voidwalker with me, the shield is VERY VERY useful. This way you will add a LOT to your TEAM. (which is, twinked or not, the meaning of the BGs)
Twinked locks at 29 (or 39 for that matter) can do very very nasty things in the I-damage-the-entire-enemy-team-but-they-can't-hurt-me-back department. Just stay in motion.
