I've been on 7 (!!) straight instance runs with various alts of mine in Outlands, where our rogue hasn't had LP skill high enough to be any use on locked chests. Yup, 7 different rogues. Pls stop making us look bad -and get fewer drops- and level your LP skill. Outlands has boatloads of pickpocket drops for LP skill leveling.

Uhm not if you hit Outland with a LP skill of 168... >.> Not that I speak out of experience here!
Agreed though, if it's not for being useful to others then at least it is a hell of a less pain in the *** to level it early, and especially using the chest in the poison quest to get to 175 instead of having to pickpocket worn junkboxes till your eyes bleed... God that was awful.

Lol, just had to poke holes in my argument!
But seriously, the benefits of getting several top-lvl healing pots from pickpocketing every character lvl is valuable enough, no? And those BE romance novels...

All you gotta do is pickpocket mobs a third of the time you're fighting to get enough lock boxes to open to keep your skill up. It ain't that hard. I had a similar problem on a BRD run a few nights back. Rogue couldn't open the gates. sheesh
Besides, you're throwing loot away by not pick pocketing first. They always drop some silver and occasionally a nice green item.
