This isent my char but I am curious if this char can heal kara effectively. I only ask because this is one of my guildies and he wants to MH kara thanks in advance.

+heal is alright, could use a little boost. Crit is kinda low too.
As far as spec, I'd tell him to put those 3 points from Blessed Life into Light's Grace. Also, tell him to get rid of the 5 points in Divine Strength.
But yeah, he should be OK in kara for at least the first half, if not farther depending on the rest of your raid.

Crit rate is quite low and his hp could use a boost too. His +heal and mp5 are fine, though. Try to get holy crit closer to 20% and hp closer to 7-8k.

Get the head glyph from thrallmar. your healing is fine, your crit could use a little work, and possibly get a little more health. Other than that you will have no problem on healing kara. I started with a lower healing, but I had higher mp5 and higher crit.
Also respec your talents cause in the healing thing you dont need the strength bonus. and remove the imp seal and you dont need precision in the protection tree. since your will not be hitting anything.

oookay. Shoulders suck, get them replaced. Boots look cool but honestly anything with spirit on it is useless. You're so crit starved you don't need to be using a second LCP, pick up Xiri's gift. Put 10 spell crit on your gloves, mp5 to chest, and go aheand and enchant your helm with the thrallmar glyph. Its good enough to enchant. I also would go ahead and enchant your mace too.

Like what everyone else said, get him to respec properly. Drop the priest boots and get something without spirit on it. Drop the shoulders, or at least get the aldor/scryer enchants for them. Drop the spirit ring as well, there are much better options, even the first violet signet. Get a bunch more crit as well.
His healing, crit and total mana may not be sufficient for extended boss fights, especially if he's posted on the tank. I'd say either get 2 other healers with much better gear, or drop him for a week or 2 so he can get his gear in order first. The guide that's stickied would help with replacing some of that gear. I ran kara my first time with similiar gear, but we had 2 much more experienced and geared healers. We still wipefested and only downed attumen curator and moroes after about 3 hours. Subsequent runs got much better though, we usually clear about 8 bosses in 2.5 hours (only if we've got full team 1 though). But yeah. Don't worry though, attumen drops great pally healing gloves. Socket and enchant well and that's as good as 100 more healing already =)

Yeah change the spec a little, as for the gear I was also about the same and did upto Curator on my first vist with only one other healer who was also on their first vist, so can really depend on his skill just as much. However I did almost get a drop of every boss on the way (2 or 3) so was a bit better by the end.

If he can get into a good group like I have been able to both other healers with 1800+ healing 150 mp5 and 20 percent crit or higher I was pretty much just along for the ride, and over 2 clears these past 2 weeks ive gotten 9 epic items, in 2 runs, and ive been able to move onto healing Gruuls and ZA for the challenge, since my group can now clear kara in 3 - 3.5 hours.
