Arms Warrior Hits 70Follow

#1 Jan 21 2008 at 2:53 PM Rating: Decent
A question for the WOW gurus here at Allakhazam:

I have an Arms based warrior who recently hit 70 (40-21-0). I still plan to continue solo questing, upgrading gear, building up my gold reserves, etc. I also want to participate in Kara, Heroics, and other instance runs. What is the best way to respec for both of these purposes?

I primarily have been a 2H Axman generating a lot of dps, however I realize to do the instances I will have to improve my skills at tanking. I've seen a few Arms/Prot Hybrid Talent Trees but I am uncertain if they'll be effective since as a 2H'er, if I start to tank, a shield and weapon will be instrumental in being successful.

Looking for some suggestions. Thanks in advance.

I'm an arms warrior at 69 about to hit 70 and I have the same issue. What I've pretty much assumed from responses is that you kinda have to decide if you want to do one or the other. IF you want pvp then go all out arms. If you want to run heroics and raids then go prot because no one wants an arms warrior for those it seems.

Tanking is a good way to get the DPS gear you want, granted you're the only plate wearer in the group. Learning how to tank doesn't happen overnight and if you're just now tanking at lvl 70, it can be overwhelming at times. For non-heroic 5mans, you can use the Arms/Prot Hybrid build and tank just fine. Once you get into heroics, you might need some of those meat and potato's talents for that extra oomph.

If you want to DPS, d/w fury would be the best thing to do, but gear is an issue as well. Like Flaminroids said, you need to chose what you want to do first. If you can get into groups as DPS, go for it, but if that doesn't pan out you can always try prot.
