Here's my armory. What do you think are the best badge upgrades I can do in order to get the biggest bang for my buck? Personally I was thinking about doing the Azure Shield of Coldarra first. It looks better than the Crest of Sha-tar to me, even though it doesn't have sockets. You're probably gonna just put 2 solid star of elunes in it anyway, and it has an innate +12 Stamina over the Crest. So with 2 SSoE in the Crest it's just +12 Stamina, but the ASoC also has a lot of extra armor, block, defense, etc. Plus not to mention that getting Exalted with Sha'tar is kind of tedious, and the shield is only 33 badges.

For my second upgrade I was thinking about doing the Iron-tusk Girdle for 60 badges (closest alt I could find was the belt from Heroic Ramps), and then probably the Protector's Mark of Redemption for 25 badges. This is, of course, assuming I get nothing from Kara along the way.

Should I just go all out and save up for the Chestguard of the Stoic Guardian instead?

I'd suggest pants. Yes it's 75 badges, yes it will take a while, but 75? stamina is just awesome.

Also, you should look at getting the +30stam/10agi armor kit for your pants.

The reason I didn't really look at the pants is that I'm currently using the Timewarden's Leggings which have 10,054 tank points, compared to the Unwavering Legguards which have 13,961 tank points. An increase of 3,907. So at 75 badges, that's about 52 tank points per badge. Whereas the shield bumps me from 23,550 tank points to 28,502. An increase of 4,952 at 33 badges -> 150 tank points per badge. Of course that number isn't really the be-all / end-all of gear rankings since things are situational.

But if I were going to spend 75 badges anyway, the Chestguard of the Stoic Guardian can have as much as 96 stamina (46 more than my current chestpiece), vs. the Unwavering Legguards, which only have a maximum possibility of +16 more stamina than what I have now (assuming non-BT gems).

I'm definitely looking into the Nethercleft Leg Armor kit, but at 250g it's taken a back seat to other things. I'm waiting at the very least until I get something purple to put them on.

Wow! I'm going to start farming mats for those again.

I'm referring to:

roughly 35-60g varies per server.

Oh nice. I didn't even know about that one lol. :D

Yeah, the mats are really easy to get... but it takes a few primal earths (my warrior is Mining/BS, so I always have earths, the clefthoof hides are easily farmed in Nagrand) My hunter is skinning/LW, so I make a kit every new legs I get.

I won't worry about the 250g mats until I get pants from SSC or what ever the next pants that beat my badge pants are, those will be worth the 250g for a 'enchant').

I have the badge shield and the badge tanking ring so far. I need some other upgrades but I'm hoping to get glove and boot upgrades from Kara so I'm not making them a high priority to use badges on. I just got the tanking pants off Curator this weekend so I'm covered for that slot for a while. I'm looking at neck and back for my next possible badge upgrades.

I'd save the badges on the back, just get the Devilshark Cape. I read (and seen) it'll last until Mount Hyjal cape? Or was it SSC? But it's up to you. Devilshark is free (save ya 30? badges).

It lasts until TK. It's the cape off of Al'ar that's the next real upgrade from Devilshark, Gyfford. As for the legs...take them man. The shield is really not that large of an upgrade. You have a TON of other options that are, arguably, better. Crest of the Sha'tar from Sha'tar exalted, Shield of Impenetrable Darkness from Nightbane, Aldori Legacy Defender from Gruul. There's a clear progression of better shields. Those legs, however, are comparable to T5/6 gear. Those legs will last you a good long while, while the shield will be replaced quickly.

Yar, FletusSanguine expressed what I ment a lot better than I could at work. Very little time to type things XD

I stongly suggest legs too. With that armor kit I linked you'll get well over 100 stamina easy, then the gem slots I got 8dodge for red, 6stam/6def? for yellow, and a SoE for blue. I went that set up for the dodge and the +6 stam for the socket bonus. I chose 8 dodge and 6 Defense over 12 stam.
