So, I figured I might as well keep it leveled. Besides, I occasionally will heal a group when questing if I'm the only healer there. And if there is no aoe from the mobs and the group does not need many heals, I'll go in and whap the mob with my staff. :)

The problem with this is agrro/threat issues. If you are at melee range, your heals generate way more threat that when you are far from mobs (15%, if I'm not mistaken, but I can be). SO, no, not a good idea at all.

edit: Scratch that.

You DO NOT generate more threat by just being close - the difference is the threat roof. It takes 130% of the tanks threat to pull the mob away from the tank if you are not in melee range, whilst it only takes 100% when in melee range.

Up to the current level cap for your weapon skills, you gain .04% to hit AND crit for each weapon skill.

This also used to be the case after you got to the cap and got items that boosted weapon skill beyond the cap, but Blizz did away with weapon skill over the cap.

I don't know why your crit% in caster form is the same as in bear form, UNLESS your weapon skill is capped.

BTW, it takes 110% of the tank's threat to pull aggro when in melee range, not 100%.

This happened to me today too, my crit was 27.40% in cat form (with level 20 Staves) I went on a killing spree with my staff and got it up to 88 before I actually killed the boar I was attacking for 5 minutes(level 24 boar if anyones interested) Then I popped cat form again and to my surprise cat form crit tooltip read 30.12% Is this just a glitch because it really has me second guessing the hidden feral weapon skill.

See I'm not crazy, and "COKE and PEPSI are the same people, open your eyes!", with no talents or special +crit in bear/cat form armor (is there such a thing?), the % is the same all around the bases., and goes up as a normal weapon skill .04 crit would.

It's still a unsolved mystery in my book.

Now now Gyff, don't sell yourself short.

Of course you're still crazy!

My crit rate stays the same when I take off my mace and equip my fishing rod. Or my water breathing staff. Or nothing at all. They all have different skills, ranging from none to terrible.

Might be a bug in a recent patch. Now I'm curious, I'll test that again tonight.

I noticed this problem too, and opened a GM ticket (because I was *sure* that feral combat is based on 5xlevel, just like we've always learned)

The GM said that it was just a glitch in *my* display, and he suggested I log out and restart.

Of course that didn't help, but I didn't want to bother anyone (especially, because like you guys, I thought I was crazy and seeing things).

This was a few months ago though.

Awesome thanks guys. I was not trying to re-invent the wheel on the way we're thinking Smiley: smile, just something I noticed, and like most people I HATE skilling up weapons... My warrior needed to so much, and it's soooo boring.

As always tho, if the GM can't help me (had Kara last night). I hope they don't pawn it off as a "Glitch" too. We'll see. As soon as I get home I got nothing going on, I'll submit a ticket and see what this GM says.

At least now I know other people noticed this also.

I can definitely say that Coke and Pepsi are not the same. The difference is more notable when you start getting the flavored varieties, such as lime and cherry, but it's the same subtle difference that can be found in the standard fare.

I'll drink either one, but Pepsi has a more distinct flavor to me, and I prefer it.
