Well my guild is back in kara, and we finally downed the blah blah blah.

The question concerns Netherspites Blue beam. I checked most of the sites and they say a warlock and S priest can hang in the beam the entire duration due to drain life, vampiric embrace. Can you still do this? It was my understanding that 2.3 made the vampiric effects suffer from the -healing debuff as well. Just wanted to check.

I'm not sure about shadow priests, but locks can drain-tank their way through the fight. You should be taking the beam the first and third time because of your extra dps output imo.

Ahh, I understand it now, the -healing debuff is 1% as is the +damage, thereby canceling each other out. I was thinking it was more in tune with a mortal strike type deal where the debuff made it almost pointless to drain(not pointless, but not nearly as powerful as it use to be). I must start paying more attention.

Yup, still working as it always has. Just did the fight a few nights back. Toss up your instants, spam Drain Life to stay at full til you get a 30 stack or so, drop an Amped CoD and profit.

The debuff lasts 10 seconds after the beam cuts off. Wait until then, THEN drop trinket+Amp. Curse and CoD.

Awesome advice, thank you. I always assumed the buff would cutoff as soon as the beam did.
