Need AdviceFollow

Hi, my main is a level 60 Druid but recently I've been working on a
hunter alt, she is currently level 14 and in westfall but I'm dying so much its amazing. In fact I've done 4 corpse runs in the last 10 mins. I fight like this:-

1: hunters mark on target
2: send in pet
3: wait a few seconds while it attacks
4: open with arcane shot followed by serpent sting
5: autoshot until dead

but like I said, I'm dying a lot, even more than my lvl 9 mage is and thats very surprising.

Can you give me any hints or advice?
Thanks

I imagine that your pet is not holding aggro, and the mob is running at you. You should always make sure that you have growl on autocast on your pet, as that is what generates the most threat.

As Yuppley said, Growl will be by far the most valuable skill to a levelling hunters pet. ALWAYS make sure that you've got growl on and always updated with the newest rank of it. Your shots are fine as there isn't much of a selection at your level and dont be too afraid to throw in an arcane shot will auto shooting as it can get a bit boring just standing there watching your character shoot. What would help us more is how exactly are you dying? Is it pet aggro problems or your getting too many mobs at once?

growl on autocast

You can tell if it's autocasting if there's a glowing background on the growl icon in your pet toolbar. If it's not glowing, right click on it and it should start. Also, if you did not learn Growl yet, hit the pet trainer, next to the hunter trainer to learn it. It cost no pet points so always get the most current level growl.

Oh yeah, also, you can skip the Hunter's Mark... skipping it will save you mana, and on normal quest/grinding mobs it's really not needed to burn them down.

As noted, make sure Growl is on - can't be emphasized enough.

Next, don't spam your spell shots - toss on a sting and then the pet and auto-shot do the rest - arcane shot is only for finishing something off fast and concusion shot is only to slow something down.
