So, my 64 bit ASM class is intensely boring. So far we've been going over the history of the microprocessor, and Friday's class was 50 minutes of explaining an ASM program that simply added to a register, then subtracted from it (literally 4 lines of code). So, until the class becomes worthy of my time, I'm going to be killing my time in there on my friend's laptop that I liberated a couple months back when I moved into my new apartment.

Here's where you guys come in. I know the sticky is in need of updating, and I really have been meaning to do it. I've also got a couple ideas for new things to write to help both the new and not-so-new rogues. So, in comes the poll. During my Monday-Wednesday-Friday ASM class, I'll be working on something. You get to choose.

Option 1: Update the sticky

Option 2: Advanced Mechanics guide, explaining the intricacies of every mechanic I can think of (how haste stacks, the hit/expertise cap, combat tables, etc)

Option 3: In-depth raid guide. Includes general tips for raiding and how to behave in a raid guild, along with detailed explanations of what to do as a Rogue on every fight I've completed (Kara clear, Gruul clear, Mag clear, SSC clear, TK clear, Hyjal 3/5, BT 4/9)

Or, you can suggest something of your own. I'm not a premium member, so I can't post a poll, so just post your vote here.

Update sticky, then if you feel frisky, mechanics sounds nice.

I rather like option 3 to be honest. My rogue is only mid-50's right now but post 2.3 leveling is easy, so having some idea of what to expect and what I might need for end game would be nice.

#1. #3 comes from bosskillers, #2 is outdated every other patch in some small but significant way.

Advanced mechanics looks like it'd be great, but RP has a point. Still, I rule in favor of option 2, the Advanced Mechanics Guide. I look forward to reading it.

PS: What's the point in updating the sticky if nobody reads it...

update sticky first

then mechanics, but whiel the haste stacks and equiv. ranges and all that **** is well and good

perhaps some explanations on some of the 'rogue tricks' woudl be a nice thing to add somewhere

anything from the stealth-eating macro, to how to gouge-restealth properly, to free cp via sap/cs trick

any of the lil ******** that will make most rogues a lot better, not fully a pvp guide... just the things we all do fluidily, and take for granted

Someone linked a WoWWiki page on 'How to kill class 'X' as a rogue in another thread recently; much hilarity ensued over the wrongness/outdatedness of the info contained therin. Having just started PvP'ing, I'd like to see an FAQ or sticky with this info, where the PvP savvy weigh in with their opinions on viable strats Vs each class individually.

Failing that, option 3 sounds good, as I've been noticing a distinct lack of cogent raid info on these fora of late. The sticky (Option 1) can be done anytime, and while Option 2 might prove useful, we don't have the massive geek quotient of Elitist Jerks, and thus lack the numbers to compile new info and stress test it as and when it becomes available.

I vote update the sticky, including an "as of 2.3" pvp builds discussion. I know such a thing becomes outdated quickly, but ain't theorycrafting fun?

EDIT: I changed my mind. I can't endorse you working on a WoW sticky during class. PAY ATTENTION! Pretend you care! It might matter come grading time. Student's who don't pay attention receive an apathy debuff at the end of the semester.

In software classes, about a third of the students have laptops out in class. It's impossible to tell who's working and who is goofing off from the teacher's perspective. I always sit in the back of the class, and about one in three of the people are playing stupid flash games. Another one in three are watching movies, and the rest are usually just staring at their desktop. I've seen a couple people try to play WoW, but the firewall of course blocks that.

Haven't counted yet, but so far it looks like I'm updating the sticky.

I guess I am not surprised you are in CS Nooble, but I had you pegged for straight up mathematician.
