Does anyone else use a low-level SW:P to build up shadow vulnerability at low mana cost?

I was trying to get the most out of it, with the damage bonus, but I don't really now if it's really worth it.

GCDs are 1.5 seconds. To make a full stack, that requires 7.5 seconds. We'll say you use 4 instead of five and make your first attack on the 5th, so you spend 6 seconds to kill 10% faster. That would mean that you need your fights to last near a minute for this to be more efficient than fighting with a normal rotation.

Maybe it's not mathematically correct, but it's the idea of it, and I doubt its worth as well.

When healing in instances (where I can't stay in Shadowform), I use a rank 1 Shadow Word: Pain to activate Misery on the target. The debuff increases all spelldamage done to the target by 5% which is a neat little bonus for the Mage/Warlock in the group.

I do this in some raids on boss fights while moving into position. I have to wait for the assist call, but this way I build up shadow weaving and start stacking up Crusade procs from my trinket using rank 1 Pain while moving. I don't think I would use this tactic in any other situation though.

It's not really worth it, better to VT->SWP->VE and then Death if you're still moving into position, not worth the several thousand lost damage just to get that extra 10% faster.
