Making a priest, can you use Draenei racial in shadowform?Follow

Noob question, I know, but since it's not holy I am curious. A heal, even if just one person, would be nice in Shadowform.

I ask this because Desperate Prayer is holy, and thus unusable to the spriest I want in high-level arena.

But then again, maybe I'm missing some insight. I brought a priest to 33 before changing servers, now my only 70 is a Rogue, and is doing well in arena. What race do you all think is most useful for high-level PvP?

Best pvp racial belongs to the undead, the draenei racial will barely help you when there are so many interrupts flying around you can't think straight

Arguably dwarves have the best racials when it comes to survivability, but neither of their priest only racials can be used in shadow form.

As an undead priest stoneform is something I'd kill for though, instantly breaks me out of poisons, ***** Viper sting!

Hah, yeah, I should have mentioned I'm Alliance. I'd love to be Horde, but all my friends are alli, and I'm not going to give that up.

So, thinking about it, I guess this all goes back to the "it really doesn't matter too much." If I did PvP, I'd be Shadow, making all this moot. When I do PvE, if I respec Holy/Disc, then I wouldn't get attacked, ideally, making, say, Dwarf racials moot.

So I think I'll just make a draenei and feel better about myself.

If you pvp shadow, you're going to have to switch out of form to be effective at certain points anyway, you're not so uber that you can just get away with killing everything without healing yourself.

Plus they made it so things on your hotbar automatically switch you out of form to cast, much like what they did for druids, so you can pop desperate prayer, get back into shadow form, and be good to go.

Their generic racials may suck, but as far as racial spells go, since the buff to Star Shards or whatever it's called, NE's make some damn fine Shadow Priests. If you're more interested in being Shadow than "Priest-ing" in general, you might want to give NE's another look.

To answer your question, no you can't use Gift of the Naaru while in shadow form, but you can use symbol of hope.

As for which ally-side priest would be best for pvp, they're all pretty similar, and there wouldn't really be too much of a difference. Personally I went Draenei simply because I like how they look.

^^^--- I went Draenei as well. As far as instances...you are a mana-users best friend with Symbol of Hope (especially as shadow with VT). In PvP, you are decent for the racial buff you give to your group against shadow dmg and the + hit bonus as well.

For BG Draenai are good
For arena Dwarves are better
