Class Feedback RequestedFollow

#1 Jan 19 2008 at 8:40 AM Rating: Default
I am currently gathering class feedback from players for Wrath of the Lich King concerning thoughts on the areas of each class that is perceived to be most in need of improvement. This thread is not intended for discussion purposes and we ask that you please review the below format before presenting your feedback. It's very important for us to be able to review all provided feedback and as a result, not following the required format will very likely result in your post being removed.

List your primary talent tree(s), i.e. Holy/Disc.

List the content you're primarily pursuing or most enjoy, i.e. Raiding, PvP, Solo, etc...

Provide a brief description of the areas you feel are most in need of improvement (you may list a maximum of three issues and each issue should be described in one or two sentences).

List up to five specific spells/abilities/talents you feel most need change, redesign or improvement in the order you feel each is most in need of attention. (MOST to LESS)

Please remember to be constructive when providing feedback, and avoid discussions with others so that this thread can remain a promising and reliable source for feedback. It's also important to note that we're not looking for suggestions on how aspects of your class can be improved, but rather which areas are in need of improvement by your own assessment. When we have collected enough feedback we will reply back to this thread thanking everyone for their assistance, and the thread will be locked. Thank you very much for your participation!

17. I'm a student/researcher/newsman and I have a survey...

Before you take your survey, you might want to check to see if the survey has already been performed. Nick Yee from Stanford has performed a large number of Surveys on MMOs as an extension of his personal and academic interests. His studies can be found at The Daedelus Project: The Psychology of MMORPGs.

Other than that;

  • Combat/Mutilate
  • Sub tree, mostly ShS; PvP in general
  • Shadowstep; Force of Nature (Balance druid); Dagger spec; ; Fist weapon spec; Sword spec; Premeditation

  • Question:

what is this survey for? :P

This survey is the exact format of a survey Blizzard is doing to get ready for WotLK and that Eon (I think( linked a couple weeks ago.

Just looks like one of the blues on the O-boards came over to Alla and posted it to get feedback from Alla from people who don't use the O-boards.

I find that highly unlikely. They got tons of feedback on the O-Boards, and a blue would have said something to that effect, rather than just a simple copy/paste. Much more probable that this is just some random noob who posted this for no particular reason.

Entirely possible and maybe the fact that I'm posting from work distracted me enough to not consider that possibility.

Although the amount of time between that post of Eon's and this one (and the fact that Eon's post is now on page 3 or 4) made me consider the fact that maybe (just maybe) Blizz would go to an outside source for feedback on their game.

I guess I can only dream. Minly since there are so many intelligent posters on Alla, compared to the massive number of semi-literate, blithering idiots on the O-boards.

    Mut/Combat/Sub
Pretty much played alot of different builds

The Sub tree needs serious work in pvp and pve(especially)

    Shadowstep =(

I love the sub tree so much but its just not worth it to go that far down into it

Primary talent trees: underachiever pve, alcoholism pvp

Content: drinking, hitting on women, teasing frat boys

Provide a brief description of the areas you feel are most in need of improvement:
    - women are too sensitive, especially regarding men that smell like booze
    - ************ in public shouldn't be a crime. come on now lets lighten up.

List up to five specific spells/abilities/talents you feel most need change, redesign or improvement in the order you feel each is most in need of attention:
    - reduce the cooldown on inebriation. seriously 24 hour hang over is imbalanced
    - women's morals are OP and need to be nerfed.
    - women's MC talent needs to be nerfed, longer cooldown or give me a better chance to resist
    - Take browser closing off the GCD. When my boss comes around, I need that forum window to close as soon as I click it. Seriously you are costing me career points here.

fix vanish, buff liqour, nerf women.

I responded to this question weeks ago on the O-Boards. If you want to read it, find the post by Fishbeans. Think it's on page 22.

I'm shocked and appalled! What does this mean? Is this a proverbial pot-hole in our relationship? Don't you love me anymore? I think we should talk about this! There seems to be something that you don't like about the time we spend togeather.

Remember, what I said before that very first night we spent togeather? Its still true; "It's all about you, babe." Although, to be honest, I would have prefered if it was a little more about me than you, but oh well, I've learnt no to complain about it. It seems to be a recurring factor with you and, well, that part of relationships...
