Need help with gem selectionFollow

You can get the 24 AP and increase to run speed gem for only a few Spirit Shards at the horde town in Terrokar Forest. You get spirit shards from bosses in Auchindoun while your faction has the spirit towers.

Would you happen to be this Spankums of Stormrage?

The Armory is indeed a Beta, but that's the first time I've seen such a discrepancy.

After looking at your Armory I will have to exclude myself from providing you any advice on your meta gem. It's clear from your gear and your reputations that you're almost completely focussed on PvP play, and I have no experience with a pure PvP play style. I have never before seen a 70th level Hunter with zero reputation with any Shattrath City faction (well, you did accidentally get 10 rep with the Sha'tar somehoow) and such low reputations with all other BC factions. You do realize that your PvP play would be greatly improved by working on your factions so you can get access to all those lovely slot augmments, don't you?

Someone forgot to take his meds today. Need a hug? I can assure you, Kompera here didn't "rip" you at all. He is after all, one of our tamer posters. However, since he is a regular and has provided useful information on occasion (this thread being one of them), I feel compelled to toss you a very slight rebuke. I suggest paying attention.

1. As a nine post fella, you are not in any shape, way or form capable of laying down judgement on any poster here. The only poster on these forums that are a "self serving azz who gets his jollies tearing people down" would be me. I revel in the mental images of kids like you having impotent rage attacks in front of their computers. Want to pick a fight, pick one with me.

2. His advice was in fact quite sound. Doing some quests, and possibly an instance or ten, would give you access to some very worthwhile PvP stuff. Enchants for one, and badges for a couple of slots of very nice PvP/PvE items. Read his post carefully (I can help you sound out the words if you want) and you will see that. The words you are looking for, would be "thank you, Kompera, for letting me know that there are some very nice slot augments out there".

3. We don't "rip" people in e-mails around here. That fails to accomplish some very important things. One, humiliate the poster in question to teach him a lesson. Two, it isn't anywhere near as funny when others can't see said humiliation. Three, public displays of spittle and "STFU"s would also be far more fun than a PM full of "FU FU FU FU FU" that I'm sure would be the reply.

Us? Royal "we" or are you merely delusional? Allow me to enlighten you. You are in fact the one standing alone. We, the regulars of this forum are the ones you are picking on. Bad call on any day, but even if it hadn't been I can assure you that you are in fact quite alone here. It takes more than "zomg 20k hks!!1" to impress anyone on these boards. Display some knowledge first.

So. Go weep softly in a corner for a while, after realizing that you just fUcked up by reacting exceptionally poorly towards someone who in fact gave you aid. In fact, your reaction was so poor, that you just excluded yourself from any future aid as well, until you prove yourself worthy of actually receiving it.

No, and no. I pointed out that you have a great deal of PvP experience, and very little PvE experience. That's not a 'rip', that's just the facts. If I didn't phrase the facts in a way you could understand without taking offense, I'll chalk it up to cultural differences. When I ask for help I don't need any sugar coating to make it taste sweeter, I just want the help. And even if the help was unsolicited I'd prefer straight talk to mealy mouthed sycophantic butt kissing. I see you come from another school of thought, the hand holding fragile egos club. Grow up a bit.

If you chose to take offense (and you obviously do) then that's your problem, not mine.

More facts:

You have 1115 AP with AotH active. That's very, very low. Bordering on pathetic. Get rid of your greens and you might possibly rise above pathetic.
You have 10152 Health, about 2000 more than I have in my PvE gear where I have ~1750 AP. In my PvP gear, none of which is "PvP gear", just PvE gear which is better at the job than my standard gear, I have more Health and more AP than you. My arrows are 46.5 DPS, because I'm pals with the Violet Eye. Your best arrow add 32 DPS, because nobody likes you. You're sole advantage over me in a PvP fight would be your 167 Resiliance, and that's not going to be enough to get the job done, regardless of which gear I'm wearing at the time.

And apparently your charming personality has prevented you from forming any Arena teams. So within a few weeks I'll have added a few choice S3 items to my PvP gear set, while you'll be wearing S1 and greens and wondering why you lose every duel and get run over in BGs.

You would do very well for yourself to get yourself some augments for your empty equipment slots.

Nothing gets you nothing, and I was only trying to do you a favor by pointing out that a little faction would allow you better PvP pew pew. I apologize that the calligraphy on my message was in a font you found displeasing.

Moving on:

Your Talent spec is sub-optimal for PvP. You have 2/2 Spirit Bond, which is going to regen you enough Health in a typical PvP battle to last about 1/5 of one of my shots longer. In other words, it's worthless to you. You have zero Pet Focus recovery skills. You have 1/3 Imp. AotM. Either ****, or get off the pot. Put 3/3 in there or 0/3, and 0/3 is the best choice. You have 3/3 Thick Hide. In PvP your Pet isn't often a target,and when it is the additional Armor isn't going to help it. And the additional Armor doesn't help you, either. You have 3/3 Catlike Reflexes, which your Pet doesn't need and you shouldn't need since you're a Hunter. There's more, but only minor nit-picks after the above.

Your Meta Gem: You should get the Relentless Earthstorm Diamond. You don't need either the minor run speed, as it won't stack with the Boar's Enchant you should get for your boots, or the Powerful gem, as you're BM and don't need the stun resist. With your vastly superior PvP experience I felt that you'd be able to make a more completely well informed choice, but since you prefer hand holding I'll provide it for you.

MeanMachine, you are a waste of space. People tried to help you and you attacked them. I have a suggestion for you, DIAF and GFY. Also please post a bunch more times in this thread as I hope to rate you down enough times so that your posts start below the filter.
