Main hand/ OHFollow

#1 Jan 18 2008 at 11:37 PM Rating: Decent
Ok. Can someone explain to me how the MH/OH damage works?

Is the OH like half dmg or something? or does it not benefit from bonus AP?

I have 2 of the same maces, but my oh seems to hit for ~ half what my MH hits for.

Only other melee class Ive played is druid, and kitty doesnt have OH.

Thanks.

As far as I'm aware it does 1/2 damage.

I DW Fist of reckoning and current damage is as follows:

Main hand: 131.9 dps
Off hand : 66.0 dps

thats pretty much 1/2 :P

The offhand weapon does half its listed base damage, and having dual weapons increases base miss chance from 5% to 24% for white damage on same-level mobs.

Even so, as your gear gets better, dual-wield starts to pull ahead of 2-handed weapons, because having two weapons scales better with AP than having one weapon, since both weapons benefit from the same AP point.

Dual-wielding also boosts Windfury proc from 20% per hit to 36%, for some reason.

So.

Then should I be using double windfury, windfury(mh)/rockbiter(oh) or rockbiter (mh)/windfury(oh), or some other combination?

From my experience and reading the forms from the gurus, suggests that both with windfury is better then any other combo.

Say you bought something from Macy's with an original price of $100.00 exactly. The sale price, however, was 20% off. That means that it would be $80 at the register. Now, you have a coupon for an additional 20% off.

The store will take 20% off of your sale price, which was $80. This is 80 divided by 5 equaling 16 times 4, being 64. So the price after two 20% reductions is $64, not $60 as some would expect.

100 - 64 = 36.
