As topic says. Reason I have not frequented the board in a while was due to some much needed character deletion.

Question is... How long till I should come back again?

I had a fairly decent benchmark hit, at least in my own mind. But I'm thinking... will The Wrath of The Lich King bring about the same kind of drastic gear updates that Burning crusade did?

It got me questioning if it was worth spending the next 6 months grinding up through Kara & beyond so that the ******* Lich King could come along and inform me that all my gear would be replaced in the next 6 levels. I don't particularly relish the idea of spreading dissent and apathy amongst fellow rogues, but personally I just got fed up with the amount of things that I thought should be addressed. If the Wrath of The Lich King brings about the same kind of changes that The Burning Crusade did, we are just going to see another mass break up of guilds, fast grinding to lvl 80 and a race to see which rogues can make themselves stand out enough to get into raiding guilds and whatever the "new Kara" will be.

How does the lich king bode in your eyes? Whilst I see the introduction of new gear as a good way of getting *back in the game* because of the removal of the gear-gap that has built up between casual gamers like myself and those in tier 3/4+ It just makes playing now seem a bit pointless really. Seeing as PvP gear has more than doubled our lvl60 hp pvp gear, It would seem that any similar 70-80 trend would make most pvp gear completely useless at 80.

This isn't really a QQ thread. I'm just interested to know what you see in store for the Lich King.

Otherwise, peace out and have fun.

If it isn't fun then it isn't for you.

I am just about to ding 70, and do a fight for Gladiator. Will the accomplishes mean much when WotLK comes out? Probably not, but it will be fun in the meantime.

I just don't get discouraged seeing a reset, I see a new "adventure" and new things to do and be better at.

I wasn't really a "discouraged" I look forward to being able to start off fresh. It seemed like a good reason to stop when I also felt content with where I had left off.

It is nice to take a break though. Much needed due to University work really kicking off and not letting up until summer.

Suppose some thanks are due though... in no particular order:

Yourself MyTeddy, Shao, Mongoose, Demea, Nooble, Theo... there are probably more, but its 3am and my brain has turned itself off. Keep up the good work :)

The way I see it is the fun I got from BC is gone and it's not worth playing anymore. WoTLK will be entertaining again if not to just level to level 80. In other words as myteddy said: play when it's fun, quit when it's not.

Can you even win World of Warcraft? I thought the point was to occupy your time when your life is dull.

You won't spend 6 months getting to 70. You can do it in 6 weeks nowadays. There should be at least a couple of months for you to enjoy the BC end game content before WotLK comes along and throws Karazhan into the bin along with MC and Onyxia.

would you prefer to level all the way to 80 with no upgrades?

@OP, I say good on ya. Read a book (Batman graphic novel), hit the gym (only boy in womens kickboxing class ftw), get drunk (dont puke on your keyboard). I won't post them here, but PM me if you want a long winded explanation of why I see this as a good thing.
