Ok atm I am doing 2v2 with a holy pally which goes ok but not great (we r 1561). Resto druids seem to be a much better choise. However, the holy pal is a good friend of mine so would like to make it work. Is the war/pal team a viable setup if u wanna get to 1850? and could some1 maybe give some tips to us (he is dwarf, I am human btw)?

In my 3v3 I group with the same pally and we used to have a lock also. However the lock isnt online much anymore so we r looking for a new guy. What would be best for 3rd spot? (and would rogue work? and how bout 2nd warr? I am asking bwcause I have two m8s that r rogue and warr).

Tx in advance.

I don't know your gear or skill, but in my experience a pally works well with an arms warr. Lots of plate and hard to take down. the pally can bubble and heal and you can beat on them while they beat on him..

Druids > resto shamans > pallies

I don't know how a priest would do, but could imagine it to be in between resto shaman and pallies. That's for 2s ofc.

War/pal was the flavor of the month last month.

Now all the hooplah is over war/druid and lock/druid.

War/pal should still be able to get you to 1850, assuming you are both PVP specced and geared.

For the 3v3, the rogue would be better than another warrior, as it means a different set of skills for the other team to counter.

I think you would be fine on the 3v3 with war/pal/rogue, again assuming all of you are PVP specced and geared.

have 368 resiliance. 1xs3, 2xs2 rest s1. Pally has only 50% s1 - rest blues.

Ye I know the basics ofc. But when I have seen war/drood teams to be a better setup as the druid can kite forever and have better cc. The pally can bubble yeah but cant kite just as good (or maybe its just my partner^^). I usually charge the healer/clotie. If a rogue or warr is on my pal I intervene and hamstring then intercept back on healer clothie...

Its not like we do bad- we win more than we lose usually but I would like to do better - we r at 1600 and there is a long way to 1850. I would like some more inputs and opinions bout best team partner, both in the 2v2 and 3v3.

Tx in advance.

Pallies are fast becoming obsolete since they are very very vulnerable to drain teams. Resto druids on the other hand are freaking overpowered as hell in 2v2 arena. They have every available tool to survive while keeping their partner up.

Druids > Priests > resto shamans & pallies

Resto Shamans and Paladins are too easy to lock down. Both have only one school of magic, and neither have any instant heals.

Resto Shamans do have their NS > Healing Wave spell but imo they do need more mobility like decreasing Ghost Wolf time to a second or less.

A priest can make Shamans life more difficult with dispelling Earth Shield, Ghost Wolf, and Mana Burn to boot.

Eh.

Warrior/Shaman obliterates X/Priest, with the possible exception of Warlock/SPriest, in 2v2. Purged and Sundered Priest is shorthand for "dead meat", and when you pop Lust + Trinket + Death Wish they're going to fry in short order. Rogues can't really do anything to good Shaman and you'll stop the Priest from being able to Mana Burn any significant amount, and it's a GG for the most common combo there.

The problem is Druids, but everyone has a problem with Druids.

Get your pally some more PVP gear and then see how you do.

As a few people have said, it's very easy to take the pally out of the fight by mana-burning.

Get him a little more survivability via PVP gear and see if that helps you.

If it doesn't, you may want to consider a new 2v2 partner for serious arena, while keeping the pally on your 3v3 squad for "for fun arena" with your friends.
