ya ok so im a lvl 60 spriest and im just having some problems about keeping mana. i seem to have to drink every 4 kills or sometimes 3 and im getting sick of it, i have spirit tap. i have 5300 mana and i regen 167 mana per5. Do i need more spirit? i have mostly green items from outlands. No wounder i switched to my elemental shamy he can take on 4 outland mobs at the same time and only use half of his mana and this was at lvl 60.

the problem is is that there this gap were i dont do anything except sit there and get hit. see i cast VT,SW:P,mind blast and mabey another mind blast but then i use too much mana and i cant really use mind flay cus it always gets interupted unless there running away. I think the shadow tree needs a AOE spell cus we dont have any. As soon as one or two mobs aggro while fighting one mob already, we have know way of fighting without getting hit after hit. Yes u could cast PW:S but it wont last u long. Fear u might say but then it might only aggro more people. so fear is out, and after casting PW:S and inner fire over and over again ur going to run out of mana quick.

ya ok so were are good in PVP and we can do great damage to a single target if needed. how is that suppost to help us with lvling. i meen in patch 2.3 and 2.32 they helped out every single class with damage except for spriest, blizzard didnt even include use in any updates for 2.32 if anything they nerfed our PW:S and made it take less damage. If we are so over powered that we dont get anything to help out our damage output in PVE then why do i keep dieing and cant fight more than 2 mobs without lossing all my mana.

Try wanding. It's a good way to pace yourself.

A shadowpriest at your level can DoT, DoT, Flay, Blast, wand, move on. Easy.

mabey its just me. Iv been soo used to my shamy and killing things really fast and killing multiple things when i switched over it just seemed that killing with the priest is just slow and u have to be patient. I could kill two or three targets for every priest kill with my shamy. LVLing is just quicker with my shamy i guess :(

I leveled 1 to 70 as holy. I'd be willing to bet I drank 3 times more than you as I leveled. I just accepted it, and never left town without a couple hundred water. At least you have spirit tap.

Blizzard did add more +damage to the healing gear, so priests did get a break.

More spirit would help spirit tap, but if you find yourself having to drink more than you like, accept it or start wanding.

DoT,DoT, Flay, Flay, Blast, Wand, rinse and repeat = profit, no downtime (Or little) if you focus on Spelldamage and spirit.

Priests are fine at multiple-mob encounters. I have a shadowpriest right around your level, and I took on three same-level mobs without even using a potion.

Fear 'em, DoT 'em, Embrace 'em, and focus fire on them one by one. It's not that hard.

You shouldn't expect your priest to have the same damage dealing capabilities as your shaman/mage. The classes are played extremely different. Priests aren't really about nuking mobs and killing things in 2 seconds, we're more of a drain type fighter, Sort of like warlocks without shadow bolt.
