Tier 1 or not to Teir 1Follow

I just hit 54 and have the 3 BOE wildheart pieces. At this point is it even worth the work of getting a few 70 friends to farm the BOPs? Or is the time better spent just leveling for the outland greens?

Outland greens are better than azerothian top-end 5-man gear. A blue BoP from strat/scholo/etc. will likely be worse than a 57-58 BoE green from outlands.

Don't do it. And for the record, you're thinking dungeon set 1, not tier 1. Tier 1 is, I believe, Stormrage (it's been years, so I'm not positive). Wildheart, and it's upgraded variation, feralheart, are dungeon sets 1 and 2.

If you have the three BoE pieces (gloves, bracer, belt), you can start the Wildheart upgrade quests for extra experience. For alliance, they start with a lady inside the King's room in IF. You actually just need one piece, but I forget which one, so having all three BoE pieces means you can do the first two steps in the series.

It's bracers - and it's NOT worth the extra costs except if you want to do it for showoff.

Yeah, I've always heard the Wildheart set referred to as Tier 0, the Feralheart as Tier 0.5.

It's definitely not worth the effort. It's something that I think would be cool to have eventually, but at your level I wouldn't put in the time. In my opinion, that's something to collect when you're 70 and are bored with nothing else to do. The stats don't make it worth your while at this point and will be easily and painlessly replaced with Outland quests.

As for the Tier 1 set it is called Cenarian, Tier 2 is Stormrage, Tier 3 is Dreamwalker. They covered the basics though for Wildheart, it was not really worth collecting before and it is still not worth collecting now lest ye wish to show off that you are severly masochistic.

Tier 0 & tier 0.5 were never worth it. Back then Blizzard thought it would be a good idea for druids all to wear hybrid gear and be crap at everything instead of having several specialised sets that made us pretty good at everything.

Having said that, when I read about how hard the upgrade quest was, it seemed like a nice challenge!

Me in 8/8 Feralheart :)

I get lots of nice comments while wandering around Shattrah in it :)
