Would it be possible to heal mag with my stats

I have currently

7.0k health
9.3k mana
+1300 healing
20 holy crit
100 mp5

all unbuffed

My guild just cleared gruul today, and I didnt really have a problem healing.

And there gonna start trying mag, im just wondering if I would be able to heal efficiently and help the raid out.

That's some low +healing for it, I think. The mp5 seems alright, but the +healing and +crit could stand to be higher.

Im working on that right now, maidens mace hasnt dropped for me yet, having that and enchanted will increase my healing by 200 alone and im looking at getting some badge leggings also.

That should definitely help.

Have fun waiting for the maiden to drop her mace and then fighting the other 2 healers for it :D

i healed for mag with much worse stats. Like 1k healing, 8.5k mana, zero mp5, crappy crit. in fact i still had green gear. (my pally was never intended to raid at 70, guild just needed a healer at that time or the raid wasnt going to happen.)

Didnt have a problem. i died near the end during the madness mainly because it was the first time i'd ever seen the encounter. /shrug. Never ran OOM, and my healing assignments never died. Not sure if i was causing people to pick up slack or not though so... the more the better for sure. But i think you are looking pretty good.

As for the mace, you could always get the season 2 arena mace >_>

is that 100 while casting, or 100 while not casting?

Mag is not a very healing intense fight, honestly the hardest healing part is when you get 3-4 of the controllers down and the last one or two starts hitting fairly hard. Once they're all dead, the fight is cake as long as people know what "CLICK THE FRIGGING CUBE" means.

TBH mag is an easier fight than gruul (healing wise). I did it as feral specc'ed druid - that's with +700 heal and 7k mana, ofc we had some better geared pallas, but we lacked healers, so there I was - and we pulled it off nps.

Ya, We got some full t4 or higher druids shammys and priests healing also and a pally just needs a t4 peice from gruul, so we should be fine then, depending on our cube clickers.

Our guild has been trying maggy for the first time all this week. We thought tonight would be the night but our main tank and healer (who share a connection) couldn't get into WoW with a +1000 ping all night so the raid leaders called it before we got a shot.

The fight seems to me less of a gearcheck and more of a skillcheck. If your guild can down Gruul every week without a wipe you have the gear for maggy. While decent tanks and healers are needed, dps is more important for downing the warlocks, then the entire fight is about co-ordinating the raid to get the cube clicks right. If you have low gear, it doesn't matter so long as you can get to your cube on time, every time, and rely on the rest of the raid to do the same thing.

It's abit like netherspite, which I bet its possible in blues (or even greens) if everyone knows exactly what they are doing.

Mag is as really is as hard as your raid is dumb. If you have a couple people who are capable of clicking on cubes in a very simple and easy to follow rotation you have an easy fight. You have one guy who is not smart enough to do that, you will wipe.

The first part with the summoners can be a test, but if you can get through that Mag should be a cakewalk, least till the ceiling collapses and even that is pretty easy to recover from.

Mag the Idiot Test, Gruul the DPS test.

You'd probably have better luck farming the Shockwave Truncheon over the Shard. You'd get 1 shot a day, and with a decent group heroic SL isn't very hard. Took me about 5 runs to get the drop. Obviously like any drop it can run hot and cold, and you may not get it for 20 runs...but once shot per day sure beats one shot per week at a drop 2 other people might also need.

It's also a better fit for a pally.

Thats a good idea, my guild runs that quite often, so maybe ill get in a few runs of hoping for it.

I just dont know if I could heal it with my stats.

You might want to think about grinding for a Gladiator's Salvation, depending on if you can take the PvP grind or not. It may not have the MP5 but it has a very nice +375 healing.

Plus you don't have to worry about drop rate or competition, you know you'll get it. :)
