Raid Icon Macros to Num PadFollow

#1 Jan 17 2008 at 1:38 PM Rating: Good
Hello Everyone!

ok.

Is there a way to macro Raid icons? that way i can mark on the fly. as a Pally with little need of CC. it would be really nice to just use skull icon for the focus mob. then re mark skull when its dead to the new focus mob, to save with confusing pugs who cant follow mark order.

or to re-mark if a pat pulls and a new priority arises or some such.

plus overall it would be rather nice to not have to click several times every mob, every pull for icons.

also, it could be used to let the team know about certain boss phases that maybe be hard to notice to the newer/less attentive player. ie Skull=ful DPS, X=Run like mad/get out of the fire/here comes the adds, or something like that.

anywho, the num pad just seems like a good place for something like that. 1,2,3 could be the "assumed" kill order icons. 4,5,6 could be the "assumed" CC marks.

so yeah, im making this post longer then it needs to. you all get the idea.

I believe you can do that, although you can also go to your keybindings and assign 1 to skull, 2 to X, 3 to star, etc. I don't have focus macros, but I do have them bound.

I hadn't thought of that, but that is a good idea. Would be very useful for telling the party how to deal with adds quickly.

so, binding Raid icons can be done in the key binding options? im at work so i cant look. i thought they would be considered a "spell" or something that need an actual macro.

Its in your key binding section of the menu

/script SetRaidTarget("target",8);

1 is Star, 8 is Skull, and the numbers go down the list. It's nice to attach to other macros (Hunter's Mark or Taunt).
