this is me logged out in my dps mount set
my full fury set replaces the riding crop with Bladefist's Breadth. so basically i am looking at an increase of 44 AP if i re-gemmed my crit gems with +8 str. however, is the benefit worthwhile, or would it be a waste of money at this point?
i am thinking of replacing either Bladefist's Breadth or the abacus with the Bloodlust Brooch, and/or hopefully replacing the abacus with the dragonspine trophy from gruul's if i can get it to drop for me.

If you look in the dps faq you'll see the math where 8 str out shines 8 crit rating by a pretty wide margin givin normal group setups. So 22 str will demolish 12 crit rating.
if that's you in zerker stance, i'd keep the crit gems.
str outshines crit after you have 25% crit for flurry uptime, before crit is better.

what you see is my mount set. in my full fury set, crit% is closer to 26%. if i lose 12 crit rating, that's about half a crit%.
Also, being prot... you don't have flurry. :P Well, assuming you don't respec often.
If you're just asking so you know which to take for your prot-DPS set, strength ends up being more important than crit.

i didn't invest all that time into my dps set just to make prot soloing easier...
