ele isnt as easy to lvl with as enh is.

I would say at lvl 60, spc whatever you like to get to 70...

Plenty of instances to do on your way, and being resto would mean you can get groups a bit easier, but this means when you solo it will be slow.

for speedy questing and solo grinding ele and enh can tear it up when all you got to count on is yourself, but enh has less downtime since at this point you have Shamanistic Rage. Ele will have downtime, but you get the benefit of being able to do dmg from far away.

I would say though, pick whatspec your most interested in learningat 60 and go from there,do what you wanted to originally do as a shaman whether it be a Bash Bash, Pew Pew, or a healer, and have fun.

I'm still not convinced Enhancement is better for leveling 60-70 than Elemental. Especially 62+, with the new way Water Shield works.

At the very least, I'm positive at 70 my shaman can farm better as Ele nowadays than he could as Enh.

If you go Resto it shouldn't be til 70. No class should level in their tank or heal spec unless they have lots of friends and are able to group all the time. (Keep in mind you really don't have to be tank or heal spec to tank or heal an instance. It helps, but most instances are really easy and offpsecs can perform the role just fine.) Oh, and I should also note that Feral Druid is essentially a DPS+Tank spec in one, so they kinda CAN level in tank spec :P

Actually, paladins do quite well leveling as their tank spec. So it's really just warriors who shouldn't level as protection.

In fact, I have a 56 pally (been protection for the last 30 levels or so) and it's really fun to AoE grind mobs. I can easily take 6 or so mobs of my level, without having to rest after.
