Spell haste scares me. How good are these pants compared to Kara pants, T4, Spellstrike, T5? I'm thinking about saving up my badges and getting them as my first reward.

I know spellstrike has nice +hit on them, and gems for the option to grab more +hit. I think through a bit of raiding I'll be able to cap out my hit from other sources, not needing spellstrike to do that job.

So what do you think - http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?witem=33584;source=live

PS I also spent a bunch of gold on spellfire =( Including my rogues flying mount fund gold. I want to get him an epic flyer, since he has 2 gathering profs.

BTW I'll still be getting the spellstrike hood, spellfire gloves (probably temporarily, replacing with badge reward gloves) and hopefully belt of blasting.

If you can get hit capped another way, they're better than everything you listed except maybe Spellstrike(2pc set bonus especially) and T5.

And Spell Haste is an amazing stat for DPS. It's not so good for DPM though.

hold on - spell haste doesn't effect you're actual dpm, but just will have you empty your mana pool faster right?

just asking

It will increase your dps, but it will lower your dpm, but if you can get a spriest and shammy in your group, dpm won't be a big deal.

Thanks, I know spell haste is a great stat, I'm just not sure in what ratios.

I guess my question becomes more, spellstrike or spell haste pants? T5 or spell haste?

Let's assume one is hit capped through other gear, without needing the pant slot for more hit. Spellstrike with full spell dmg gems, or spell haste pants? I'd tend to think spellstrike is the upgrade here, hit capped or not (of course an even bigger upgrade for those not hit capped, I believe 14 hit on the pants themselves, then 3 gem slots for lots of customization).

If you'll have the 2pc set bonus, then you'll want the spellstrike for sure. Otherwise, I'd say the pants are probably about equal in DPS, but lower DPM, so still kinda leaning on spellstrike.

If you haven't already, consider picking up Quartz. It'll show you on your cast bar where it's safe to start the next spell, thus making latency have a lot lower impact on you.

Yep, Quartz is very nice I have it, but I still think it doesnt fix the latency issue very well, or that may be also because of my fat fingers.

With Quartz and the spell queue system, you want to try and hit the next spec ~.2sec before the previous one goes off. Quartz wouldn't fix the issue if you actually wait for the red area to send off the next spell but just button mash without, because then it's not getting queued and was before.
