Just curious which is most beneficial/preferred. I am a lvl 47 assassination speced rogue. I have a choice of weapons for my off-hand. I picked up the Widowmaker which has less dps but +8agi and +7str and the Joonho's Mercy sword which has a higher dps + 70 proc chance. I will be putting an agi enchant on which ever weapon I chose. Just curious which is more preferred. All your inputs will be greatly appreciated.
will you be going mut at 50? If so, slow hard hitting dagger in both hands.
Personally I wouldnt bother to enchant weapons while leveling, you will outgrow them fast. Unless you are building a twink ofc.

I used the widowmaker through a lot of levels... I forget the stats on it but have a nice slow dagger main hand and (if you use poisons) a little faster off hand doesn't hurt. I'd agree with not enchanting, if you're really looking for extra dps look to buy the shadowblade.

Well I wasnt really going to twink out my rogue but I wanted to stop off at lvl 49 for a bit to pick up some nice pvp gear. I figure to buy the Sentinel's blade at lvl 48 so that dagger will probably go in my main hand. I wanted to enchant cause it will also help me level a little faster, maybe +15 agi, but nothing too expensive like mongoose. It will probably be a little bit before I pick up mut cause I have 11 points in subtley as well.
Kinda' related to the question, but for mutilate, would two of the Main Hand season one daggers be viable?

Well...if it says "Main Hand", then no. However, I believe the Shanker is a one-hand weapon instead of "Main Hand", in that case yes it would be fine for PvE. But I would suggest a faster OH for PvP for poison procs.
