i was doing my daily for WSG and a Holy pally was running the flag(why?). i was waiting in the Horde tunnel and ran out just as his group was getting there. the FC was at 75% before i got to him so i thought i would focus on downing him or at least slowing the flag. just as i stunned him he lets out a "kek". then i proceeded to hand his *** to him.

later that game, he managed to run our flag back to his FR. me and 2 others came from the 2nd floor and i once again stunned the pally, where of course he let out another "kek". then, as i do, took back the *** i handed to him earlier and let his teammates hold it for a while.

results are here: http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh141/tommy0guns/BG/WoWScrnShot_011508_153005.jpg

after the last patch does "kek" now translate to "i'm @#%^ed." or could this just be an in-combat addon. i was gonna ask said Holy pally but he cut out of there before the game ended. i know he was from Exodar and his name started with Van or Val(sounded randomized). if he views these forums i would just say, you need to fix your addon...or you kinda suck ;D

Edit: thanks to swstats in the background...Vathian

When horde types "lol" alliance sees "kek".

That makes a lot of alliance think that they can type in "kek" and the horde will see "lol".

They're wrong.

Also if the Allience types 'lol' the horde will see 'bur'

which a bunch of guys from work, when something funny happens will start yelling 'bur' to fool around. sometimes its quite entertaining.

i've found that when i /lol at people i get owned. so ive stopped doing that.

I think i lold at a warrior once (on my rogue) when i got him to like 2%, because come on he's a warrior and im a rogue i should have been dominated. I had like 40% hp left or so. well over 4k of HP can be taken away from you pretty quickly i found out.

yeah, normally a good PvPer with a cool head will save CDs and simply take the loss if winning wouldnt mean anything.

to /lol at one of these players might actually make them "try" . . . because winning would mean alot knowing you just got put in your place.

i also do not get how a ret pally could ever come close to killing a holy pally 1 on 1. you only got 2 interrupts and you arent going to kill a pally with 60% physical attack mitigation during an HoJ. I would have spammed my rank 3 FoL, consecrate and just sat there.

omg i stumbled upon a little nugget from wowwiki:

"It should be noted however that since Blizzard is using a kind of hashing algorithm for the translation of languages in the game that maps any 3-letter word to a pool of about 12 different Orcish words with 3 letters, there also exist a lot of other 3-letter combinations that produce the translation "kek". For example, if a Horde character typed "146" in Orcish it would also display as "kek" to the Alliance character."

using old school pager texting code. i deduce that 146 translates to "I love slacks". man, i too love slacks. had i known thats what he was trying to tell me i wouldn't have run him over so bad. live and learn.
