Ok, Im a newb so please be gentle,I just completed the quest for pet,got the training went and got a pet. but there is no feed pet symbol in my spell book or on action bar. Any Ideas?

Go complete the fourth quest in the chain.

Can't remember but it's basically a "Go talk to this person" quest that teaches you Feed Pet, Dismiss Pet, and something else(I believe it's Train Pet, I can't remember if you buy Mend Pet from hunter trainer, it's been a while)

Edit: changed it from second to fourth even though I consider the 1st three basically the same quest only with different animals to tame, technically it is 3 seperate quests :-P

the pet quest is a 4 part quest. You get 3 taming rods, turn in quest after taming the appropriate pet, then after you turn in the 3rd pet the trainer tells you to go to another guy that finishes the chain and gives you feed, tame and train beast.

Just follow the instructions in your log book and you'll be fine, they've never steered me wrong.... not given me enough information sometimes but never steered me wrong.

yes you learn Mend pet at lvl 12. Same as when you get Life funnel for the Lock.
