Up until now I've been sort of winging it and doing what works best for my individual PvE play style. But after reading some various FAQs, I've realized I was focusing on the wrong stats for an Enhancement build. I've been grabbing gear that has +Spell Dmg/+Healing, +INT, +STA and +Spell Crit, rather than focusing on +STR, +Crit, and other melee stats. I've at least been doing pretty good with this setup, but I'm wondering if things would go alot smoother if I switched over to more melee stats and stopped worrying about spell dmg.
With my play style I tend to pull with Lightning bolt x2, then slap a Flame Shock, then slap a Stormstrike, then hit with an Earth Shock, so my playstyle is somewhat spell heavy even though I'm using a melee based build. Usually the mob only has about 15-20% life left by then if I can land a spell crit in the list above. But I'm finding that sometimes(on mobs above my level) if I don't get at least one spell crit in there, it takes a while for the mob to go down cause I miss a decent amount with my melee hits which keeps WF from being able to proc as often, which in turn screws up my overall damage. So if any of you guys could offer some input it would be appreciated. I've thought about switching over to Elemental spec since I've got all the gear for it, but would that be a better choice or is Enhancement still easiest and most fun to level with?
Since I'm getting closer to raiding levels I'm looking to correct any inequities and errors that I may have done and make my Shammy the most efficient possible. I'm pretty open to any suggestions you guys can offer to help me fix any issues with my setup.
Here is my build (I know its screwy):Dragon's Enhancement Build
Thanks in advance for any input you guys can offer to help me fix my setup. :)
