<---Trade skills forum but I'll answer here anyhow.

First of all, forget about class. There is no "Warlock profession". There are only money-making and money-losing professions. For low-level toons, picking any crafting profession is a good way to lose gold, rather than make it (and that includes Alchemy). It doesn't make a whole lot of sense to go to a crafting skill until you get to a reasonably high level, where you can finally start making gold from what you craft.

Choose two gathering professions and add fishing to the mix. You will make lots of gold.

Listen to mike he's bang on. Enchanting in particular will be a huge strain on your finances if its your first character.

Though at higher levels, if your gonna be Raiding, you'll probably both want Tailoring for the FSW set. If one of you wants to go enchanting for levelling so you can DE everything you come across that might not be a bad idea, but I wouldn't take tailoring until 60+.

I went tailoring/enchanting from the start and pretty much regretted it the whole way to 70, never got First Aid up cause all my cloth went to tailoring, and when I started killing things that gave me wool, and I still needed linen to skill up, I either had to waste time farming it, or spend gold buying it. Same with enchanting, either had to waste time farming instances for stuff to DE, or spend money buying stuff to DE and using it to skill up.

My suggestion would be one of you go mining/skinning, the other go Herbalism/skinning. Sell everything you gather and then when your 60+ one go Tailoring/Enchanting one go Tailoring/Jewelcrafting. Just powerlevel them up with the gold you make in outlands, and you'll be self sufficient 'locks. Both have FSW and one can enchant one can cut gems.

Enchanting is *INSANELY* expensive to level up with.

My enchanter is level 70 even, and I expect him to not even break the 300 level mark without another 200G, or some lucky 50-60 Azeroth drop auctions. But those are so rare, and never cheap. No one sells 55-60 Azeroth weapons at all on my server.

Just to make money as you level, get mining and skinning. Kill tons of beasts and keep your mine tracker on. You'll be rich in no time. Don't get a crafting profession until you're much closer to 70, or just have *way* too much money.

**WRONG**! Enchanting is insanely money-making while leveling at least to 300. You never need to go higher, unless you want to put up with ungrateful cheapskates in the trade channel. You get money from disenchanting stuff, not from enchanting stuff. I had 2000G in my pack even before I hit 300 skill.

Its pretty sweet money making with only 225 too (max for level 20). Took me 5g and few hours to get there and its pure profit ever since.
