Lol - you are not wrong there. Crushings are the last thing to be pushed off the combat table. So to be crush "immune" a druid would need 100% dodge.

In fact, once a druid hits 85% dodge, every incoming blow will be a crushing blow as all the normal hits are off the table.

Mind you, a crushing blow hits us for about the same amount as a warrior getting hit with a regular blow anyway due to our greater mitigation.

Druid have better damage MITIGATION. Warriors have better damage AVOIDANCE. People seem to get these mixed up all the time.

Shield blocking is not avoidance, it is mitigation.

I didn't even mention shield block (which you are correct is a mitigating ability).

The fact is that a warrior will dodge, parry & be missed more often than a druid (unless the druid has insane dodge). So the warrior will avoid taking damage on more occaisions in fight than the druid.

The druid has much greater armor than a warrior and this mitigates the amount of damage the druid takes.

They are two different ways to achieve the same goal - the overall reduction in the amount of healing required by the tank. In theory, the druid will take more consistant smaller hits (crushings can affect this greatly though). The warrior will go through periods of avoiding all damage (eg..dodge, dodge, parry, miss, parry..) then can take a string of moderate hits (and still some crushings - even with shield block)

True, shield block will be up all the time, but a fast hitting boss can hit more than twice in 5 seconds, so there is always a chance that a crushing can slip through.

I play in an Australian guild and we all have lovely latency of 400ms or thereabouts which further increases the chance of crushing blows slipping though. Our main tank definitely takes the odd one even though she knows what she is doing and does it well.
