Ok, I'm not saying I'm the best player ever or even that I'm better than average, but I have gotten to a stage where I am sick of player stupidity. How hard can Lurker be? I can understand 5 wipes between 80% and 90% and maybe another 10 between 50% and 75%. But after ~15-20 attempts we have yet to get him down to less than 60%. It's so frustrating dying because you no longer have a healer to heal you or a tank to tank the adds during the dive phase.

And when I really had my meltdown was in Heroic Crypts. T4 tank with 16k UNBUFFED hp, a Healer (holy/disc priest) with 1800 +healing, a Frostmage, full T4 rogue and me on my brand spanking new Boomkin (terrible gear). We died a couple times clearing trash - as I was the only person who was actually dpsing ghosts. After repeated (at least 5 times) requests the rogue started to help and after more the mage finally helped too.

Not bad up til now. We get to boss. I explain boss fight, change to healing gear (HoTs FTW) and all of a sudden everyone except me and the tank are dead. I explain again, move away from orange thing on ground. We wipe again. and again. Eventually after getting the boss down to 47% ON MY OWN we call it because "it's to hard". How is this guild ever going to progress? Dieing to simple mechanics once is forgivable but 6 times in a row, imo, is not.

I really like the people in my guild. They are friendly and we have fun but too many of them are ******** up our progression by not thinking, not taking things seriously and not doing their research. What do I do?

happens. my old guild, though fun, was terrible at progression. even though all of SSC and tk (except vashj and kael) are on farm for them, they still wipe a good 3-4 times on each boss and they've yet to get onto phase.3 on vashj o.0

my new guild is getting 1-2 new bosses down each night in BT, with all of hjal except archimonde on farm and they generally don't even bother using vent for anything than to chat.

heck, the first vashj i done with them they just simply said who was where, and then after that everything else was done by pure instinct.

in the end alot of players arn't ready (and probably never will be) for large group pve as they either can't rely on everyone else so try to do everyone's job OR they rely to much and barely do their own job.

Indeed true.

I think I might bepart of the former group. I end up trying to overcompensate for slack dps/dead people, people not doing their job (trapping sheeping). I soloed both the adds on my island with one renew ticking on me, 1 Super Health Pot and 1 HS, by fear juggling the mobs.

That wasn't my job. But those 2 adds were murdering the nearest healer and no-one else was anywhere near them, having run to kill the middle adds first instead of 2nd as we had discussed in the strat.

Maybe I should look for a new guild, or the other choice is to give up my dreams of even seeing Kael never mind downing him. Problem with leaving the guild is my time zone limits my options to raiding on US realms.

have a hunter icetrap one, or a lock fear one, or a mage sheep one or a paladin stun one while 2 people focus one add down, than do the other add. After that assist on adds in the middle.

When my old rading-guild disbanded i got into the one i am now and everyone was like yeah lets go kara i still need 1 piece.
I kicked their asses pretty hard into ssc and tk it sure made them cowboy the **** up.
But on the other hand i am the always the "bad cop" on TeamSpeak.
I kinda hijacked the raidlead and most of the time everything works fine, sometimes though we manage to wipe 5 times in a row on a farm-boss, usually this can be fixed by tearing some peeps a new one and suddenly the boss works like a charm. This might sound really mean, but often it is just a few players who are distracted.
Maybe you want to take the raidlead into your hands and try your luck. It can be really difficult at times, but for me it is really rewarding.

our tactic is to only kill 1 of the ranged adds that spawn. and keep the other one constantly feared / sheeped. when you get to the next dive only 1 will spawn. nice little trick to save on killing two mobs and so leave more dps for the elites in the middle. also very handy for if you have the darkmoon card:crusade trinket, less worries of the buff wearing after all adds are down and waiting for lurker to appear.
