Resto looking for a guildFollow

ahoy,

my question has most likely been asked before. My main is a lvl 70 hunter in a dead guild that's still trying to get kara attuned. I have recently started a alt (lvl 44 resto shammy) but I want to find out how hard it would be to get into a good raiding guild at lvl 70 as resto specced. Are guilds that do hard core end gaming stuff in need for a resto shammy? How hard would it be to be recruited in such a guild? Are there any gear that I should get before trying?

Guilds are always looking for healers. Practice up your healing and find the right mods, though you might want to level as enhancement since its about 10000x faster- use the time you saved leveling to grind for honor when you reach 70 and get some decent gear.

Thanks for the advice benzzo.

I have been resto since the beginning and I haven't had hassles lvling up. I mostly do instances and if I have time i'll do a quest or two. I have noticed that it takes forever killing mobs when questing so maybe these last 25 lvl's I will respec to enhancement and then go fully restoration at 70.

It's quite hard on our server getting pug's for instances lvl 60-70.

Thanks for the help!

You don't need to rely on instances and PUGs to level- use instances pre -70 to learn how to heal for a group, with experience for a bonus. You should be able to heal any 60 and under instance even as enhance, almost certainly with an off healer to help. When you get to 70 you can switch to resto, and grind some honor to buy some decent gear. There are several mods that can be invaluable to a healer- I use healbot, and it's very effective.

I have received a reply from the guild I was applying to with my shammy. They are in need of a mm hunter / resto shammy to do kara/gruul raids with them.

I have been attuned for well over 7 months now and only been to kara once with a PUG on my hunter. My current guild is really slow to get attuned so I must decide if I want to join the other guild with my hunter / shammy.

Would this decision be a wrong one against my current guild? It seems that it will take them a couple of months before they have a group attuned for kara and that is why I have started and putting all my effort into my shammy, I got bored of my hunter just sitting and waiting.

Now if I join the other guild I can revive my hunter and start doing the end gaming stuff.

I'm not sure what must do. Join them or stay with my current guild.

Join the new guild. It's your character, you decide what guild you're in. Tell the old one thanks, but you're going to try something new to get back into playing your hunter.

get into the guild that's raiding already since you won't have to go thru the pains of getting into raiding with the other

also here's a fun little macro for you

there are multiple macro's there which will enable you to do much better dps as well as allow you to do 1 button raiding
