Hey guys, long time no see. (out of game time, card expired, stuff to do etc.)

I heard that starshards spell has been modified to be a DoT now and not channeled. Is that true?

yes - it has, or else you can move around and cast other spells while channeling it ;)

well then... a good change to make an efficient spell even better :) Now NE priests should not whine about their racials anymore.

what the new starshards is is basically a fire-and-forget 15s DoT with a 30s cooldown. its instant and costs no mana.

whether thats better than its old iteration or not is a matter of opinion, but it IS free dps no matter how you cut it.

It's an instant cast DoT that is increased by +spell damage so it is really nice now rather than useless. My cycle time between solo pulls is between 22 and 30 seconds depending on positioning so I get the free DoT for > 90% of normal mobs and on longer group fights sometimes twice. The other racial was also improved to reduce melee and ranged damage taken not just ranged. These were a very nice improvement for my NE priest as the previous racials I never used and now I constantly use the 2 new ones. Watch out using starshards as free DPS as a healer as you may not want the extra aggro.
