Buffing the imp?Follow

Ok so with Demonic Knowledge, it increases your spell dmg by 15% of your demons stam.So if the imp was buffed with say, fort for example, that will add to the +spell dmg... right?

I was just wondering.

As its based on your current pets sta and int, certain buffs will increase your spell dmg. Fort, AI, Motw, and Kings will all help to increase your spell dmg as well as your pets survivability(not in the case of the imp, but with your other pets, as with my current DT/Ruin build, where you'll probably be using felhunter/succubus/imp for the MD bonus as well as the possability of using SL).

Another thing to note is that sporeling snacks will also increase your spell dmg(albeit not by much) as well as your pets survivability(and the +20 spirit is nice even for affliction builds for your imp in conjunction with dark pact).

Last night on our Kael attempts with my current DT/Ruin build I was sitting at roughly 1764 shadow dmg or such with an Ele Shaman in my group. This was with my felhunter and myself fully raid buffed as well as flask, oil, spell dmg food, and a sporeling snack on my pet.

Your stamina increases your minion's, so even if the imp does not get a buff, it can still grant extra spell damage from your own buffs. It's not as much if you both dont get a stamina boost.
Be sure to max Fel Stamina, and if you dont like the voidwalker, but 2 points in Improved Imp.

Aye. Having buffs on your pet helps in quite a few ways for quite a few specs.

For any build with Demonic Knowledge. AI, Fort, MotW, Kings, Blood Pact, Commanding Shout and Sporeling snacks will help by increasing your own spell dmg and also adding to the survivability of your pet.

For any build with Dark Pact, AI, Spi, MotW, Kings, Wisdom, and Sporeling snacks will all help by increasing your Imps total mana pool as well has his mana regen. Meaning slightly less need to Dark Pact, and much less need to Life Tap.

Melee oriented pets(Felguard, Felhunter, Succubus, or Voidwalker) can all benefit from Might, Salv, and Kibbler's Bits. Salv is only useful in PvE obviously, and doesnt really make THAT much of a difference as you will probably have a tank who shouldent let a PET pull agro anyways, this is probably more useful for a Felguard, although I have never raided as a Felguard spec so I cant say.

For Any builds with SL. Fort, MotW, Kings, Blood Pact, Commanding Shout, Sanctuary and Sporeling Snacks will all help to increase both your own and your pets survivability. This holds true for both PvE and PvP.
