[wowitem=28502]Vambraces of Courage[/wowitem] or [wowitem=33516]Bracers of the Ancient Phalanx[/wowitem]

edit: weird, not like it's uber-important, but isn't there an Equip: Increase your expertise rating by 22 on the phalanx ones?

See I thought so too, but a bunch of people in my guild were saying the others were better. I think they were thinking warrior tanks? I dunno.

Even if it was a Warrior I would still take the Phalanx. I really don't see why anyone would take the other ones.

Block value = SS damage = TPS.

22 Expertise Rating is so much more TPS than even 50+ Block Value it's not even funny.

Bracers of the Ancient Phalanx definaly. More armour, more stamina, and by the time you have either, you should have block value coming out of your ears.

edit: block value, obviously :)

What's with you guys talking about Block Value? That's how much your shield absorbs, not related to how often you block, which at least for a Paly tank is not worth stacking over other stats. I agree the Expertise would be better. Phalanx all the way.

Someone asked which one a Warrior would use, since SBV (not SBR) gives Warrior's threat. The answer is still the Phalanx.

Hmm, guess so, very indirectly though. No wonder I missed it.

This brings up an interesting point though... why do my T4 gloves have block value on them :-/

I think history has shown us that Blizzard picks Paladin abilities, talents, and gear by spinning a wheel and throwing darts at it.

Vambraces of Courage for trash and AoE tanking, where the block value may actually have an impact. Bracers of the Ancient Phalanx for bosses.

Smiley: lol OK, you make a sound point. It is a sort of grab-bag of stats on some of this stuff. Certainly better in Outland but still very, VERY odd.
