Spotted a similar thread somewhere, and thought it could be fun to have one like it here.

I'm currently a level 61 feral and running about in Hellfire Peninsula on a low/Medium populated server. This plave has almost no tanks whatsoever, thus making me quite wanted.

So today I was grinding a bit of leather and generally enjoying myself when asked to tank Blood Furnace for the umpteenth time. Fine by me, I enjoy tanking even if it is in pug's. I tend to be able to let people know how and what I want them to do, so generally no problem there. As I unfortunately couldnt go at the time, I responded that to the person asking. The conversation went like this:

61 holydin : "Hey, wanna come tank BF?"

Me : "I would love to, however I cannot. I am busy for another 30-45 minutes at least, but good luck down there."

61 holydin : "So you come now?"

That most likely takes the cake for me as of recent anyway. At least read the full sentence I type when responding before tossing me a stupid response in return... Sheesh.

Now, what is the most stupid thing said to you in-game?

I was told to Innervate on my Rogue once... That was a pretty good one.

Other than that I can't think of any that really stood out. But on these boards there have been some good ones, check my sig! =)

Has nothing to do with druids, but a hunter used multishot after a pull, and the paladin tank was complaining that she didn't have the tools to get aggro back. I pointed out that they have a ranged taunt that affects multiple mobs, but her response was "yeah, only 3, and it only works on 1 person." I guess she didn't figure out that multishot affects 3 targets too, and it's only one party member they'd be on.

I had a hunter argue with me for a solid 10 minutes trying to convince me that you can only dodge if your facing your target. There is something about backseat tanks that greatly annoys me.

In AV, inside the cave, with all the buffs and pots and other stuff going on, before the BG beginning, a dude asks if I have some food+water. I give him 3 stacks of conjured F+W, as I got too many from a kind mage.

Then somebody asks who has some water. My friend points at me, then some r-tard yells.....

"OMGWTF, druids can conjure items?"

That was the most stupidiest ridiculous thing I've ever heard about dr00ds.

(After 10 mins I get a ticket from a GM because someone saw me using "exploit mechanisms"...

Wow that one takes the cake dragonscale lol. The weirdest thing said to me in-game was when I was tanking on my Druid, right after I pulled the boss someone in the party said "Make sure to use Retaliation and Spell Reflect." (bearing in mind I was running SV with this guy for an hour as the tank already)

Shortly after that we wiped because the healer(the guy who told me the above sentence) didn't heal me for some reason as we started the fight. Asking him what the hell was going on I found out the reason he did not heal me was because "I told you to use Retaliation and Spell Reflect, but you didn't listen to me" To put it bluntly I was pretty mad and started looking for another healer while my buddy kicked him. I still dont know if He was joking or what...

I was running Old Hillsbrad with some friends of mine and a couple puggers. One of the friends was someone I met through my uncle, who plays a mage from time to time (my uncle, that is). Anyway, the way I met this person is because he crafted some tailoring epics for my uncle. For some reason, I've always thought of this person as a mage, even after playing with him numerous times (he's a warlock).

Anyway, we're in Old Hillsbrad. I decide we could use a touch of CC. So I mark a moon, and say "sheep moon pls" and continue doing what I normally do. I notice the moon is not getting sheeped, so I tank it too. Next pull, I do the same thing, but now I'm like "for real guys, sheep the moon pls" only to see "there's no mage". I /me "drools all over himself" and felt extremely stupid.

So, it's not the most dimwitted thing said to me, but it's one of the most dimwitted things I've said.

I had just started leveling a mage alt and i was still in the ghostlands when this 20-something warrior come up to me and starts ripping on me. He's talking about how his mage is two levels lower than me and has more hp than me and has more melee dps than me. I then explain to him than all my gear is +int and +spell damage. He then starts bragging about how he has 4.5g. I opened trade and showed him 500g. Like a good idiot, he then starts to beg for money.

Uh...you CAN only dodge if you're facing your target. Mobs can dodge all around, but players can only dodge in a frontal 180 degree arc. I cant find a link to the info on wowwiki right now, but I know I've read it countless places.

I, like skribs, believe that I have read somewhere that it is in fact true that there is a 180 degree arc in front of you where you can dodge or parry.

Unfortunately I could not find said article. So I decided to go test it myself.

I therefore did the following. Went to Hellfire peninsula, popped into bear form and aggroed a hellboar, turned my back to him and popped the charm of alacrity. This put my dodge chance up to 40.25%.

While sitting there watching the boar snap away at me with my back turned to him, one thing was apparent. Not ONCE did I dodge his attack. After the trinket wore off, my dodge chance was 25.49%. Still no dodge chance.

Now, I could be unlucky, but just to be sure, I tested this 10 times on 10 different mobs. Aggroed them and turned my back to them and let them beat me down to about 10-15%.

Not a single dodge showed up. Not one.

Facing them, I get an average of one dodge ever 4-5 attacks, but not once did a dodge happen with my back to the mob.

This, in my book, proves (to me anyway) that dodge infact only happens when you are facing your target, or in the 180 degree arc in front of you.

Was doing UD strat on my 70 Moonkin with a 60+ guy and a few 58s and a bit of the way in I realise my awesome killing power isn't enoiugh and chuck on my healing gear and heal/dps in caster form. About 20 minutes in the "tank" tells me I should be dpsing in kitty form. I asked who did he expect to get heals from? I didn't get a reply, strangly enough ;)

"you know you can heal right?" as rejuv and regrowth are ticking the mages health back.

"really??" i said, "so you're saying you *didnt* HoT yourself??? amazing!"

as for the dodge thing, PC's can only dodge/parry/block stuff in the forward 180 arc. NPC's can dodge any attack made at them from any direction, but can only parry and block from the forward 180 arc. this is part of why its so key for melee DPS to be in the back 180 arc when dpsing (the other reason being to avoid forward-arc aoe like cleaves).

oh, and another funny thing not said to me but that happened to a friend!

a rogue friend was ganking people in redridge one day, and he happens upon a low 20's pally. he runs up to the pally and starts owning him, only to have the pally BoP himself at like 5% and start laughing in his face.

so my friend used his helm of fire, killing the paladin.

about an hour later he got a message from a GM inquiring about his ability to attack and kill a physical immune target as a rogue. my friend just linked his helm of fire and the GM bid him good day.

Shortly before I changed my spec to resto from feral I was in a PuG for Steamvaults. We had just cleared the two groups of lepper gnomes right before Mekgineer Steamrigger and were topping off our health and mana when the other druid in the group (a feral who was dps'ing in cat) decides to prowl up to the boss for a closer look.

Before the rest of us know what's going on, the guy aggroes the boss and then starts running our way.

Needless to say, he died, and we were stuck with a boss on top of us. Fortunately, the rest of the group knew the fight. The boss is pretty easy as long as you deal with the gnomes that spawn to heal him.

Anyway, during the fight he keeps sending me tells to combat rez him. After the fight was over, I sent him a /tell along the lines of "I'm sorry, but I was a little busy tanking a boss while you were trying to talk to me, what was it you wanted?" Now if he had been my healer, then I would have seriously thought about dropping Bear Form, popping Barskin, and rezzing him. However, for a dps'er to ask me to do that (and quite rudely too) just isn't going to get much sympathy from me, especially when he was responsible for the whole situation.

The three step program to victory!

Srsly fkin love GMs like them.

Edit:Forgot to add something hillarious a friend asked a GM.

After getting his problem solved with the ticket, the GM asked if there was anything else he needed. So he asked: "If The Unstoppable Force hits The Immovable object?"

After a few seconds the GM responded: "Ch uck Norr!s dies" (Have no idea how to get past the filter otherwise).

Heh. It can be set for lefty, but I can see that throwing someone off.

Right now I'm actually wondering if it would be easier to learn to play GH lefty than to train my 4th and 5th fingers on the left hand. They're proving quite clumsy.

If we're going off-topic, my Dad came up to me while me and my Mom were having lunch, and said "Hey, I saw Alien vs. Predator" (I'd already seen it) after me and my dad spent a bit discussing how we liked it, my mom asked "So...Alien...is that like an outer-space alien or like an alien from Russia?"
Dad says "it's the alien from that Sigourney Weaver movie that came out a while ago." Mom: "Oh, wasn't that a good alien?" (brief pause while me and my Dad are crackin up) "Oh wait...it killed everyone on the ship didn't it?" At this point I fell out of my chair...

This didn't happen to me, but to a priest friend of mine, and it's not so much what he said, but more what he did.

Huntard: Can i get some food and water please?
Priest: I'm a priest
Huntard: (opens trade window)

And they were around lvl 55 or so :P

And another one where a friend of mine argued with me for a long time insisting that dots can crit :P I hate when people who don't know game mechanics try to convince you that you are wrong. (and I am aware that there was some kind of bug once that allowed a certain dot to crit. Can't remember which, but it doesn't qualify as dot's beeing able to crit)

don't you mean rake? I don't think rip can crit - and then again, it's not the dot that crits but the direct damage part...

I recently started my druid and I go by icons instead of names. My main's a hunter, and after all this time playing I STILL can't remember which is the freeze trap and which is the frost trap unless I look it up (but I know the icons so I can hit the right one).

The one I mean is the one which does X bleed damage and Y bleed damage over Z seconds, adding 1 combo point.

Yup, you're thinking of rake. Rip is the finishing move that deals bleed damage.

Also, I totally can relate to the people who keep saying "B-Rez me" while I've got a boss mob on me.
