Much like NorthAI was thrilled to be a Beastmaster again, I myself just specced Survival tonight.
After being PvP Marksmen for a whopping 3 days, i got into a guild yesterday respecced SV and joined Kara today and walked out 3 epics and a lot of fun richer.

I have saved a few asses with well timed traps; managed to keep every mob i had to trap trapped as long or longer then needed; ended up nr 2 in the dps meters over the whole run and best of all: i tanked a trash mob for 20 seconds or so...
The mob (one of those ethereals) broke loose and ran after me, i used deterrence and dodged/parried all attacks for the next 10 seconds, got a wingclip on the mob and kited him for another 10 seconds when the tank grabbed aggro back.

The best thing about it was what i heard on vent though:

"hunter is tanking the mob"



"hunter is really tanking the mob" (sounding amazed)



"wow......"



It was awesome ^^
And i wont spec away from Survival again for a long long looooooooooooooong time.
Its the best there is.
And with 659 Agi, 25.57% crit, 1922 AP, 7874 hp and 6193 mp unbuffed i'm quite happy with my stats after tonight.
Although i'd like some more intellect, i never went OoM and didnt consume to many fel mana pots...

Also, i specced into Master tactician instead of imp. AotH and i am pleasently surprised with how often it is up.
It really did good for me tonight and its awesome to open up the character pane and see 48.39% crit, 2300 something AP and 800+ agi there during the nightbane fight (fully buffed + leader of the pack + MT + trinket)

see armory, and the tanking was more of a luck thing... and it ont last much longer then 10 seconds =P





it was still awesome though..
And i showed the guild that i am a good hunter ^^

because i just specced back from MM, and before that i was BM for a few months...
And i had about 10 minutes to download and setup vent, respec and get my pve gear from my bank..... and i have only been out of kara since to get an ammo pouch and ammo for my wolfslayer and now when it ended i travelled to nagrand to farm leather...
Also, i had the 2 gems in my gloves in my bag anyway so i decided to use them so i could use my gloves.

Oh and for sonic spear, i ran SL 25+ times and never got it, i kind of gave up hope...
Also, by swapping all gems and enchants around, i'd lose ~50 AP, meta gem and hitcapped.
Wich isnt really worth it imo.
(i will switch out the purple gem in my gloves for +8 or +10 agi though)
