Druids now shift on 'use of items'Follow

I didn't see this posted by anyone else.

Has anyone else noticed that since the last patch, druids can now click on an item (i.e~ potion, mount, food, etc...) and you will automatically shift to caster form? We couldn't do that before the patch. I'm really liking this! Now I can just click on items I want without having to click another button to shift into caster form! :)

Wow. Good find! That's strange. There's no mention of a fresh change with the 2.3.2 patch, but you're right it totally works. I just checked and they even changed is so that when you talk to a flightmaster it automatically pops you into caster form. Cool!

Really? oO
Will try it later. Got to change my macros, now. By the way, is there a way to do something like the macro that use a potion and swich you back to the dire bear form back but for every form? I mean, let's suppose I'm on cat form and I drink and come back to the former form. Something like this:

/(saves last form on a variable)
/(drink potion)
/(switch back to last form saved on a variable)

Is there a way to do it?

If there is it's way over my head. Doesn't seem real necessary, frankly. I just made one that shifts me into Dire Bear form and one that shift me into Cat form. I use the former in my bear bar and the latter in my cat bar. At first I included a modifier:shift that gave me the option of either shifting back into the same form or shifting into the other form. It worked great in testing, but I got rid of that option (or maybe just stopped trying to use it, can't recall) because of a couple costly screwups...when you're tanking and accidently find yourself in cat form you tend to take a few REALLY hard hits, get flustered, and really freak out your partymates. : )

I use the Bear form one in Aquatic and Travel form because I assume the use case will be running away where I'll be getting dazed into slowness and the armor boost of bear form would be valuable.

I did!!!

I'm one of those.. always in a form other then caster feral druids. :3
I hated having to cancel form to take a flight path or mount.
but yesterday!! I clicked my mount without canceling (something I do all the time)
and I mounted on my fluffy little grey ram straight from cat!

::excited!::

Long due. Having to cancel your current form to use an item was an unnecessary hampering if you clicked on it with the intent of using it in the first place. Might have saved a Mana pot here and there by accident, but it's beneficial as heck to me.

Yes, that what I do too, but I could use one more space on my bar without adding more buttons, you know? Anyway, was just wondering if any variant could be used within macro. It seens to me that it can not. Maybe with an addon, but not with macros. Oh well...

Yes, this is really nice. Unfortunately, however, it doesn't work with the flightmaster in Moonglade! Of course, that's a very unusual flight master, but it just struck me as being funny.

Ah, complete brain fart. In hellfire there's that little floating island you can get to? You can take a Gryphon to another smaller out post for a couple demon quests. Same thing with him. Seems the direct flight paths are same old "Can't taxi while shapeshifted!!"

Yep, and that's always amused me, that they refer to it as a taxi. Don't know why, it just seems completely anachronistic, and just an odd choice of words.

Oh man, I hope this doesn't mean the end of using costume change glitches to get onto mounts as a Moonkin :(

EDIT: Moonkin still ge the "can't mount while shapeshifted" so I guess that means I can still get my Moonkin on a mount ^_^

Yep this is a great change and I found out about it before reading the notes on it. The only unfortunate oversight was hearthing as I am usually in a form at the end of the instance and forget I am in form and try to hearth and get the message "Hey stupid switch out of your form before you hearth...." Actually it's not what it says but it's how I read it.
