I have a lvl 64 Tauren druid that is 390 herb and 350 alch. I'm feral and want to tank at endgame. Is it worth switching to Skinning and LW for the heavy clefthoof set and the other items from LW like the drums? and if so, how long do you think it would take to power lvl those professions?
Thanks in advance!

i wouldnt, u can always buy the set, and grind a few bgs to finish your set with s1 rewards.

LW can be very costly to level up (i tried after dropping herb and it sucked) and the rewards imho arent that great especialy for starting over.

just my 2 cents, mac

No way. You can buy all three pieces of the Heavy Clefthoof set in the AH for less than the cost of mats thanks to all the leatherworkers trying to level up. Drums are sweet now that we can use them in forms, but not worth the expense and hassle of leveling LW to 350 which is what you need to use them. Skinning would have you trolling lowbie zones one-shotting pissant mobs for days...doesn't sound like MY idea of a good time.

Herbalism is a great source of income and mats for alchemy, and alchemy rocks as far as giving yourself all those fat buffs. If I could trade my skinning/LW for your herb/alch I'd do it in a second.
