I was extremely bored at work. I did a character search for Korz in the rogue forum cause he makes me laugh.

8+ pages of Korz posts just for 1/10/2008. Looks like you enjoy flaming people way more than playing the actual game.

and I lol'ed a few times.

Probably the same person that wrote the Jophiel and Gbaji AIs.

he's the same as me--sometimes he's bored and checks this pit of noob-ness and sometimes he doesn't. this place is a great place to have questions answered, problem is once you've played this game as long as i have (i bounce between scholar and regular lol b/c i guess i make some people mad) and have researched it as much as i'm sure we have, this place just becomes someplace to help new players. which isn't all that fun all the time....

You would probably be surprised, then, at how intimidating most of the discussion on this site is for people new to the game who have the honour of possessing a level 12 Warrior and who don't even know what talent points are yet. The forum's actually pretty useless once you've read the FAQ's and guides, which contain the only helpful information anyone is willing to give out.

ya lol--just a lot of "your build sucks why aren't you using cookie cutter build lol@you"

We typically help those who help themselves first.

Personally, if I see a thread asking for help and the poster expresses some semblance of prior research, or thought, I'll post something useful if I can.

You should probably just have an unblockable pop-up that is sent to every person logging into the forums for the first time: "Read The Goddamn FAQ."

You know, even if that was possible, people would still fail at it.

By the way, we point people to the FAQ because its the easiest thing to do, there is probably a better answer source for any given question asked but we aren't going to do the legwork for someone who can't even read the FAQ.

Tomorrow is the one year anniversary since the FAQ's last update. It was great when it was first written but much of it is probably very innacurate these days.

Nooblestick, take a break from your fight against gold farmers and revise your FAQ! :D

LOL at having to write a PvP builds section in a time when no one knows what to spec.

some of those are still 0/33/28

That's a great link, Mayhem. I'm very intrigued by the amount of good rogues (Neilyo, Xecks) who are speccing ShS and making what I would normally call blunders (3/3 Imp Evis.)

See the danger/pitfall in looking at people's armories and specs is that you aren't a carbon copy of them. So copying their spec isn't going to help you.

I personally advocate archtypes builds for the sole reason, its hard (or rather harder) to be bad at those specs. In actuality, you should tweek (READ: TWEEK not drastically CHANGE)the build in regards to your own Battlegroup, your style/comfort (mind your own stubborness), and your team's needs.

In other words, people need to learn HOW to play and not WHAT to play. Because for the latter you are still going to suck regardless.
