Kara Healing?Follow

#1 Jan 10 2008 at 8:40 AM Rating: Decent
Hello all,

I am a relatively new 70 and working on Kara attunement. I'm looking for what would be the best armor and weapon pieces for Kara. What is the minimum health, mana, +healing I need. It seems the D3 Moonglade set isn't really meant for a pure Resto but is a hybrid set. The Set bonuses seem to be rather worthless. It seems better to piece together an outfit of cloth and leather. Any suggestions?

Awesome link. Thanks. I'm actually pretty close to what he recommends execpt for legs.

I'm curious about everyone's opinion on rolling on cloth. I wouldn't go into a 5 man instance with another healer so I don't anticipate a probelm and I Spreist wouldn't want healing gear most likely. I would absoutely roll on cloth healing gear if it was an upgrade for me though. Cloth items are some of the best healing gear in the game. I'm curious what the protocol is in 10 man or larger raids and there may be a priest and a druid healer.

Well...it depends. On my guild, usually the priest, if he is also healing, has preference, unless it's a huge boost for the druid and not so much for the priest. There are groups that allow the druid roll on a cloath equipment as any other healer would do, be it a priest, pally or shammy.
I rather use leather, because this way I know it's itemization was made having druid in mind, but if the equipment is an upgrade, sure, why not.

actually the set bonuses on the moonglade arent to bad. i have mostly pvp epics that give me about 1700 bonus healing, i decided to drop two peices so i could use two moonglade peices because that set bonus gives 2 extra dodge when you use rejuv on that person, this can make a world of difference in a lot of boss fights. where i got this idea from was my friend who was doing hyjal and still wore 2 peices of moonglade for certain bosses to increase their dodge percentage... it definetely helps when your guild isnt well geared because your tank avoids more damage and if you're healing another druid its the only way for a druid to avoid damage.

You should shoot for at around 6k mana, 90mp5, and 1000 +healing. I went into kara with 600 +healing and did pretty good
