Leo the Blind and my shadeFollow

We've been killing Leo for a while now, no big problems, except it seems I am the only one in the raid that can never kill my shade.... And I don't understand why.

Last night, I was running with +1200 shadow dmg, 194 hit (I am affliction) and I barely got the shade down to 50% before running out of time, so my raid killed me (again). Same story every time. I'm real nervous about the fight every week because of this :-)

What I have been trying to do is, Death Coil to get him off me for starters, then spam Shadow bolts. Unfortunately they do about 1500 damage! Normally, they hit for like 2500. I have also tried fearing the shade so I wouldn't get interrupts all the time, but same problem in addition to that the shade often runs out of range.

Any ideas/suggestions on how I can get the shade down? Even healers can kill it, just not me, and I don't understand why. Maybe just DoT them with everythiung I have first, then SB?

Shadow vs a shade? COuld be the problem.

Try Incinerate and spam searing pain instead?

shadow works fine on the shades. both with and without CoS. i'm dest spec so i simply just nuke SBs at it. as afliction... well i'd get on your few dots. deathcoil if you have it up. SB, Sburn and then maybe drain life/searing pain or something.
