Try actually leveling bro. You will not know anything about a given class untill you get to at +20. At level 13 you havent even scratched the surface of what it is to be a hunter. Hell at level 30, 40, 50 you haven't even begun to see what a hunter is capable of. This goes for most classes.

If you want to have a lot of fun as a hunter, read these forums, learn what a good hunter does. Then put that knowledge to practice and take pride in how you can handle your class.

For pet info and other trinkets of knowledge, actually read the sticky, it isnt boring or useless. I am a 70 and I still visit it on a regular basis. Pet info, leveling info, how to play info is all there.

I think you will find that a hunter is a pretty easy class to level and solo. Any ****** can do that. But, can you get into a group and actually contribute, can you properly control you threat and your pet. Can you help with crowd control, can you kite somehting. All these things are what makes a hunter a hunter. And one of the most fun thing about a hunter is topping DPS charts time and time again!

Hyrdo

www.petopia.com is your friend for any pet choice you will make.

*edit* hucked onn fonix wurked 4 me!

(not petopia.com)

But I agree. Level a bit. Read information and just try some things out. See what you like

Real Talk. You don't even see your full array of abilities until 70. You owe it to yourself to hit 60 at least, then try something else. Also, by that time you will probably have a good idea of what other classes you are interested in. Good luck.

I leveled up one of each class and one of each profession. However they have not been played equally. My priest is only level 40. I think it is useful to know each classes limitations and strengths. You'll know what to expect of your team mates in a fight and what they can't do. It helps avoid gripes as mentioned in one of the recent threads here. The tank was leader and gave the hunter the caster to trap and the mage a melee class to sheep. Possible yes, but better the other way around.

If you really want to level another toon. try them all. if you only plan on getting to 10 before trying a different one what have ya got to lose?

But seriously I didn't even make an alt until around 40ish. and that's when the level cap was still 60. So chill out and try to have fun. If you don't like it... well then maybe your a more "get in your face" kinda person and a warrior rogue or pali would be a good idea for ya.

i am surprised at a low level you ask about other classes , by all means try other classes and races as each has its own play-styles , i have tried most races and classes and can get most characters to level 20 easily in around 20 hours play

best and most fun pet at low level probably is a boar , cat has probably the best damage , the real truth is with pets at low level it does not matter what you pick
as long as you train them right , check out petopia to learn what pets you can get and what training to give them

i use alts to have a break from the levelling and the break is always leaving the character in a town to get the rested bonus=faster to level while rested

each class is great fun to learn so try them all
