I did not realize the myriad of decissions required once hitting 70. Currently I am a 17/44/0 DW warrior - interested in the S1,S2,S3 gear... Annnnnnnd therein lies the issue. MS warriors are preferred. So, I need to switch to something like 33/28/0 for the MS debuff and Commanding Presence buff. Then there is the issue of possibly (likely) being asked to tank Heroics (requiring Prot. Build like 8/7/46).

So, here is my link to my armory. Should I try to do more instances to better my gear before attempting to find an Arena group as an Arms MS weilding Cow?

I find it hard to balance my priorities right now. Does all lvl 70 warrior limit themselves to just one path (i.e.: arenas / heroics / etc.)?

Thanks

Depends on what you want to do honestly. You're not forced to run Heroics, Arenas, etc. HOWEVER, if you are dead set on say.... Running Heroics. You want to get gear from them and badge farm, then with out a doubt, you'll need to respec to Prot... *edit*Just looked at your equipment, it's not terrible, but will need work for heroics ("of the bold" stuff, Rep items, and various other tanking drops from instances) See the 'Kara checklist" sticky for more info. 90% of the parties will want a tank, not a no CC'ing DPS for a Heroic (just IMO tho).

For Arena and BGs, if you want to excel, then respec to MS. I just play around in BGs so I roam in there as Prot. Sure it don't burn the players down, but I'm a PITA to kill, and Concus blow/Spell reflect are pretty fun to use. However in AV I am more than welcomed as a Prot Warrior to tank the end elite(s). No 'Zomg we're going to lose because we don't have a #$^$# tank!!", I just run in say "please heal me" and we burn him down.

As a DW Warrior myself (I hate 2H weapons... seems like you're not attacking with the delay), I loved Fury. I went Fury while questing, very little downtime. Then I swapped to Prot... and with lesser gear it was such a PITA to kill anything, and I'd take way to much damage. Now with Kara/Gruul/Badge gear it's not bad at all, just not as fast as Fury.

So in closing... Go with what you want. Just know that certian builds will excel in certian things. Just don't try to run a Heroic as MT while Fury spec'd. It might work, but you'll be making everyone else work that much harder. XD

Oh, edit...
My suggestions honestly... BG the h3ll out of your Warrior if you're really intrested in Arena running, get a nice 2H BG reward weapon, change to MS Warrior. I say nice 2H weapon... because let's be honest... DW requires a mob/player to be in range for the short weapon delay to produce the Max dps yes? Everyone in BG/Arenas will be doing their best at keeping you out of range... so Huge Burst DPS is key.

The PvP BG set has nice resilliance, and stat bonuses. You can run whatever spec you want in Battlegrounds. Not to mention the weapons are great from BG running. However it will take you a long time to get all the BG rewards.

Warriors focus on pvp or pve as a matter of practicality. There were times when I would respec two or three times a week to hit arena, then tank heroics, then dps in raids. After I got my s2 gloves, I said to hell with it. It was too much work and cost too much money. With the advent of s1 gear being bought with honor and excellent almost T6 equivalent gear from badges, I've never looked back at arena since. It all depends on what you want to focus on and what you enjoy doing in the game.
